In the past 12 hours, Calgary has experienced 2 pedestrian fatalities in separate collisions. We are now on par with the 10-year high of fatal collisions in Calgary. So far in 2025, Calgary has seen over 300 collisions involving pedestrians, including 10 fatalities. October is Pedestrian Safety Month in Alberta’s Traffic Safety Calendar & we are urging Calgarians to exercise extra caution. Please stay alert, distraction-free & slow down. Road safety is a shared responsibility. We ask both motorists & pedestrians to look out for one another to help prevent further tragedies. In the past 12 hours, Calgary has experienced 2 pedestrian fatalities in separate collisions. We are now on par with the 10-year high of fatal collisions in Calgary. So far in 2025, Calgary has seen over 300 collisions involving pedestrians, including 10 fatalities. October is Pedestrian Safety Month in Alberta’s Traffic Safety Calendar & we are urging Calgarians to exercise extra caution. Please stay alert, distraction-free & slow down. Road safety is a shared responsibility. We ask both motorists & pedestrians to look out for one another to help prevent further tragedies.
