I drive a Tesla Y, an ID3 and a Golf. The rattle from the Tesla is far more pronounced than on the other cars due to the poor design of the Tesla. It’s a good technical car but a poorly designed/built car

I must say I recently got a second hand Y. It has the loop and I agree, good for grabbing. But in my case it did not stop rattling the car is so quiet that the sound of the seatbelts was driving me mad. But I got a little sticky felt pack for making jewellery boxes and stuck it in strategic points in the car. Problem solved. Love my Tesla.

The difference is the passenger vs drivers side LMFAO. You don't need a loop on the driver's side because the driver's seat will always be occupied.

The loop in the Tesla is an energy management feature. During a crash, the stitching in the loop will tear and let a bit of slack in the seatbelt. When it tears, it absorbs some of the crash energy, reducing the force transmitted to the occupant’s chest and torso.
