My 7-year-old son thinks it’s completely normal for me to play chess with him while Tesla FSD drives us. But the more I think about this… it hit me. To him, Tesla FSD may not look like some amazing piece of technology... to him it’s just normal life. He never experienced a world where every second in a car required the driver to be fully focused on steering, braking, and navigating. For him, he sees a car that safely handles the driving while Dad spends that time talking with him, teaching him, laughing with him, or playing a game of chess. That’s a pretty big shift when you really think about it. Every generation grows up taking for granted things that once seemed impossible. The internet. Smartphones. Video calls. Now we’re watching the beginning of that same transition with autonomy. For many adults, FSD still feels futuristic. For kids growing up today, it’s become the way cars work. What’s fascinating is that the biggest change is what people do with the time it gives back. Instead of staring at the road for hours, families can spend more time together, learn, work, relax, or simply enjoy the ride. My son doesn’t see autonomy as a breakthrough, like me. He sees this as normal. And that’s how I know the future is here.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTONOMY, I HAVE AN AGENDA....... So, don't waste your time on my TL asking "What are you up to".....I am up to something.. I HAVE AN AGENDA! Why is Gov Seyi Makinde against Local Govt Autonomy and why are many of the Governors against LGA autonomy? MONEY..... If a State like Oyo State that has 33 LGAs have Governor Seyi Makinde like several States saying they are against LGAs autonomy, the question is, where is the money meant for LGAs in 7 years that he's been governing? Look at it this way and use it to COOK against all the States EXCEPT LAGOS where the LGAs are having their funds to do their things. Afijio LGA in Oyo State since 2019 has gotten over N20 billion.... Ibadan North in 7 years has more than N25 billion Ibadan South West has more than N25 billion... Oyo State in 7 years has gotten N778.8 Billion. Which means IF State Governors allow funds for LGAs to work for LGAs under them, they will not have much trouble because they can concentrate with weightier matters at the State level with State FAAC.... But. why are they not allowing LGA FAAC to be used in each LGA? Pick any LGA in Oyo State and convince yourself that that particular LGA has enjoyed anything close to N20 billion allocation in 7 years be it in Road infrastructures, Primary Schools, Primary Health Care Centres, Parks, gardens, Street lights etc..... THAT IS THE AGENDA. If 33 LGAs have average of N24 billion in 7 years, that will be equal to N792 billion so far FOR LGAs in one State. Driving in Europe is simply a delight, I am badly madly in love with their roads, well maintained rental cars and the god level driving sense. 0 horn, driving is so effortless that I have driven 500+ km in last 24 hours and don’t feel a bit of it. No random breaking, while on the fast lane if you get closer to the car in-front (closer in europe means a space where in India another 6 cars, 2 auto and 10 motorcycles will fit in) the car will automatically change lanes for you to pass. Indicators everywhere, I still remember last time I did a 500 km tour in India my blood vessels and life, everything were threatened 🫣🥴 Roads have all the signs throughout be it village or highway. No worrying for life or any rowdy driver who may hit you. Crazy Speed Limits! 100 seems like so slow, 180/90 is like eazy peazy. PS- I again didn’t require any IDP, my Indian license was enough. Please do whatever but don’t take that fake online conversion of indian license for whatever money you are paying, their adds are all over and if you are pulled over or caught anywhere those won’t work nor are needed. If at all, get it from local RTO or few car associations in India are authorised and exclude Italy from the above driving experience.

GERMANY MOVES TO KILL ITS BITCOIN TAX HAVEN Germany's Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil has finalized a plan to abolish the country's one-year tax-free crypto holding exemption from 2027, ending one of Europe's most generous long-term holding regimes. Under current rules, German investors who hold bitcoin:native or other crypto for more than 12 months pay zero tax on disposal. Under Klingbeil's plan, gains would be taxed at the standard 25% capital gains rate plus a solidarity surcharge, regardless of holding period, treating crypto like stocks. The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

Uber is Dead, my reflections on Waymo I’ve been in San Francisco for just over a week, during which I’ve taken 7 rides with Waymo, a similar number with Uber, and a few with FSD Teslas. My journey to SFO via Uber was alarming—the driver veered out of the lane multiple times and nearly crashed on a ramp, seemingly vying for a one-star rating or to genuinely scare me. Conversely, my experiences with Waymo were virtually flawless, if you don’t consider overly cautious driving a fault. I experienced a minor hiccup when we got stuck behind parked cars because the vehicle thought they were queuing at a red light. It quickly resolved the confusion and moved on, which was rather amusing. Waymo, and other Level 5 autonomous vehicles, are poised to revolutionize the movement of people and goods. The most apt analogy I can think of is that Waymo is transforming the real world into an automated Amazon warehouse, with people as the goods and Waymo vehicles as the robots shuttling them around. With the advent of personal transportation becoming incredibly affordable, sending anything from point A to point B using a self-driving electric vehicle will soon be within easy reach. One of Waymo’s standout features is privacy. Riding in an Uber often means being subjected to the driver’s loud group chats on some app, making the journey neither quiet nor private. In contrast, Waymo offers a fully private experience, allowing you to have confidential phone conversations or chat freely with fellow passengers without distraction. Waymo also reimagines the concept of a car. Without the need for a driver, we can eliminate the front console, reduce weight, and remove the steering wheel. This opens up possibilities for passenger seats to be reoriented, perhaps facing backwards, or for the vehicle to become a mobile living room. Tomorrow’s vehicle designs will differ drastically from today’s. Destinations that are currently expensive and logistically complicated to reach via Taxi/Uber, often lying outside public transport routes, can be simplified to a single “Waymo” journey. This could shift the current model of “Uber + public transport + Uber” to a more streamlined experience. As more cars become self-driving, we could see a reduction in the amount of time cars are parked—from 99% of their lifetime to perhaps just 25%. This not only improves unit economics but could also decrease the number of cars on the road. This transition represents one of the most significant shifts for Generation X. In conclusion, the future is autonomous, electric, and efficient. Uber, as we know it, is dead.

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. The genial sanctions! For those who said that factories like the Chinese ones exist in the West, no, they don't. The Chinese are using full-cycle automation in factories that even lack basic lighting. And this is working for cars as well as for missiles, as I have shown here before. Now comes the most interesting part. A large portion of the automation machinery is still European, but this dependence has been decreasing, and today it’s less than 40%. The West used to dominate the market for Chinese chips, industrial machinery, aviation, and various other sectors. What was the big idea? Impose sanctions on the Chinese and force them to develop all these technologies so they no longer need to buy from the West. Genius, don’t you think? Today, the Chinese are developing four commercial aviation engines simultaneously, with at least one already flying in testing phase, and three other engine projects for cargo aviation based on Russian models. This was a market that was entirely owned by the West. Another issue that will need to be addressed sooner or later is whether there will be tariffs on products coming from fully roboticized factories. Some might say this is punishing efficiency. But what’s the point of efficiency if no one has a job and can spend? An extremely efficient model that creates unemployment beyond its borders? Obviously, this will be discussed at some point.
