shouldn't even need a reason for why a pause button is a nice feature to have in a game. but here we are... debating a 40-year-old industry standard.

If you're playing offline a pause button seems like a no brainer. Doesn't seem like something worth arguing about.

now try beating her rune level 1 no summons or magic or weapons. you can only talk your way through it and you need to convince her to give up.

It should be pointed out that you can pause the game in Sekiro so I dont see a reason that it cant be in Elden Ring as well

I don't like this idea that souls players are now being weirdly separated into categories. If you used a cheese strategy -- You still Won. If you used a broken build -- You still Won. If you used Summons -- You still Won. I don't see how using the system the devs put into the game somehow makes you less of a gamer.

This proves that it doesn't need a pause button, right? Lol

It proves that people asking for accessibility options in FromSoft games aren't just bad at the games.

Having a no pause function is part of the souls experience. I can support the argument for a pause button, but I think "disability" was the wrong word to use.
