To go back to human evolution, we have a survival instinct that constantly pushes. We push out of the cave, we push across the ocean, we push to the moon. Everything is pushing to the next horizon in order to survive. What happens in a society where you really... don't have to push that hard or at all to survive anymore? What happens when you come to a society where everything is provided for you? The brain, which has developed to push for its survival over hundreds of thousands of years isn't gonna shut that mechanism off. That's its nature. So now the brain doesn't have anything external to push against. It looks around and says, "Well, it must be us." It starts to push internally against the substructure, the architecture that has provided all of these things. "Maybe we're the bad ones because everyone around is suffering, and we have too much." That's the sort of impetus that you see on a lot of these college campuses that precipitates and I think feeds the value system of weakness.show more

In the coming days, the UN is going to approve its budget for 2026. We have identified about $100 million in it that will be allocated toward incitement against the State of Israel. Instead of obsessively dealing with Israel, I would suggest that the UN invest the money where it is really needed, like humanitarian crises or in the global fight against terrorism… But until that happens, we will continue to push back against the machine of lies and incitement and fight for the truth here, in the corridors of the UN.

And so you get these maximalist statements on both sides, oftentimes neither of which line up with the truth. But I do have to say, more times than not, the Iranian story has been far closer to the truth than what we're hearing with our own government here in the United States. That is something that is deeply troubling to me. That's something that takes a lot of getting used to.

Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. And once we go out of that desert, we all have our version of the promised land. And if we have the courage to look inside, see our own correction, our own limitation, look at it clearly now and say, I see you, and I'm going to get over it. I'm going to learn. I'm going to grow. I'm going to understand that life is not about falling down. It's about how I'm going to get up. I'm going to fall 1,000 times so I can get up 1,001 times. That's controlled both state and federally, and we don't want to do that. That's not what we wanna do. I want this to be the example of what we can do all across the country. This is not going to be my only project. But in order to do that, we have to prove it, and we're not building 40,000 acres of data centers. That's the size of the land parcel. So saying it’s twice the size of Manhattan is ridiculous. We're building very slowly and incrementally, and everybody around us nationally and internationally can see what we're doing. It'll be totally transparent, and we want it to be the shining example of how you do this.
