main problem tho you can't use it unless host pc is on, which is why i always prefer hosting services as i don't have a dedicated home server to host it on

This has a huge issue, the server can only be up if the host PC is turned on, so this has many disadvantages compared to hosting services

unfortunately doesn't work on providers that have NAT'ed IP :( would need to buy a public ip from a provider
