Someone dying at the end of the Vault was already spoiled to me, that's why i got obsessive about trying to guess who it was lmao. I guessed wrong, BUT SERIOUSLY NO MORE SPOILERS I WANT GENUINE REACTIONS TO STUFF

FFXIV Veterans did this to me too 😂 The worst part is that I've got someone dressed up like Haurchefant and went into the Vault with me, and I was playing White Mage and all I can say is that the emotional damage I've received was quite something to say the least 😭

WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS

@MechaKittn It truly is Playing as WHM on first go was especially emotionally damaging like WDYM I can revive and heal people but NOT HIM

@ArataHorologist @MechaKittn I love the explanation of Lord of the Rings Online where it isn't HP but Morale and a Bard can "resurrect" you by motivating you. And yea, in FFXIV 0HP isn't death. Basically some unknown value under 0HP is death. 0HP is just: You can't fight any longer.

@IncorrectFFQTS Fun Fact Alphinaud try healing and"The wound is too big" was added after release of HW because it became a meme

Fun fact: There is a raid that goes into the what if he didn't die that day. The achievement name for beating the raid? "As Suits a Hero"

I knew this was coming even before going to the Vault. I was still not prepared for being so devastated. But hey, to this day he's still my favorite character in the game, it was bound to hit hard

It got spoiled to me that someone does die at the end of the Vault so I got obsessive over reading dialogue to see if I could guess it. I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE AYMERIC LIKE HE HAD THE RED DEATH FLAG ALL OVER HIM

the one death so far as a sprout that also affected me. I WAS SCREAMING NO AT THE MONITOR. It would have been much better if it was Em. The lil turd wont stop calling me 'old girl' D:<

I still have not recovered from this and its been a year since I played. The second time i cried during a friggin game!! The first time was when we lost our little sylph friend at the waking sands. Literally almost quit right there. And I did quit when the Aymeric part came but was urged to go back in and I did not regret it!! Really need a more Baemyeric!!

My friends did this to me too. Only thing is I saw the death flags early, asked them mid-Discord call. They refused to answer. @DuskDawnGirl @Dragonswrath2 and @dr_fatass all laughed as I cried in anguish.

The thing is I knew about this happening before I played the game cuz I randomly looked it up didn't really spoil it for me cuz I didn't know when at the time, I just knew, which somehow made it feel even more worse having it happen (Oh and in real life my orange kitty died....)

Haurchefant was steeped in death flags too, but the biggest one of all is he doesn't have a unique model and Aymeric does.
