Women are the backbone of support for the BJP in Assam and the BJP government has assured their dignity and empowerment in the last ten years. They are now truly the masters of their own destiny. The Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Asoni has supported over 5.5 lakh girl students in pursuing their higher education so far. The Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan has given a fillip to about 30 lakh women with ₹2.1 lakh each to start or expand small businesses. Today, after my address in the rally, there was an outpouring of emotion and we all danced to this beautiful campaign song.

Exactly. We are talking about petty traders. These are some of the women I interviewed yesterday evening. They hawk their goods. Today, 10 of them will get 50k each to boost their business. God bless the anonymous for the support. These women are glad to receive the support. To them it is a very huge one. Three of the ten women I interviewed yesterday are widows. The woman I buy nylons from has been a widow for the past sixteen years. She has been the only one catering for her children. She told me she started the business with just 10k.

On this first day in office as Romanian foreign minister, I find it poignant to celebrate the UN International Day of Women in Diplomacy. I am looking forward to work with all my colleagues in the ministry at headquarters and abroad as well as with our international partners. I am thrilled many among them are women. Being a woman and a diplomat is not a special privilege, it is a reflection of the world. It is also an achievement for many women that bring their contribution and vision in a field that is both difficult and demanding. I am pleased to say that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania 🇷🇴 is a champion in the field. At our embassies and consulates as well as at our headquarters hundreds of women diplomats are part of the team and this is also reflected at leadership level. Moved by their achievements and much looking forward to encourage women in diplomacy!

The Religion of Women... Did you know that according to the words of Muhammad and the Quran, men are in charge of women? Islam teaches that a woman is worth less than a man. Furthermore, their own "prophet," Muhammad, captured women in war and treated them as a tradable commodity. The "immutable, ever-relevant" Quran explicitly permits women to be kept as sex slaves. Stonings, honor killings, floggings, and even the mutilation of female genitalia are employed in the Islamic world to keep women in their place, The many opportunities denied women under Islamic law, from equal testimony in court to the simple right to exclude other wives from their marital bed, is very clear proof that women are of lesser value than men in Islam. Muslim women are not even free to marry outside the faith - and some pay with their lives for doing so. Islamic law also specifies that when a woman is murdered by a man, her family is owed only half as much "blood money" (diya) as they would be if she had been a man. (The life of a non-Muslim is generally assessed at one-third).

This is what America and China are doing — building armies of skilled individuals. For Nigeria to compete with these great nations, we must take a page from their playbook. Scott Adams once said, “Every skill you acquire doubles your odds of success.” This is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and our Federal Ministry of Education strategy. That’s why we are aggressively reviving our technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system. We aim to equip young men and women with “life skills” that will enable them to be productive members of their communities, while also improving their employability and career opportunities. TVET is one of the cornerstones of our 6-point agenda to reform our education system. We will be creating opportunities for our young Nigerians both men and women to give them life skills to improve their employability irrespective of their level of education — from basic education to tertiary institutions. A skilled workforce is key to President Tinubu’s vision for the nation. We will also be adding to our TVET curriculum life skills in Renewable Energy (Solar), compressed natural gas (CNG) and mechanised farming to also support PBAT’s agenda of ensuring food security in our country. We are working to build a better nation for the next generation.

I had a meeting with representatives of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Canada, and the Netherlands to NATO and praised their countries’ contributions to our defense. We are grateful to Germany for the Patriot systems, to the United States for the opportunity to purchase weapons and air defense systems through the PURL initiative, to the United Kingdom and France for the missiles, to Canada and the Netherlands for their contributions to the PURL initiative, and to all other countries for their assistance. This support truly saves lives of our people, and it is very important that new countries join the initiative. We discussed opportunities to strengthen the protection of our energy system ahead of winter: the purchase of air defense systems and missiles for them, as well as the reinforcement of our tactical aviation. Two years ago, we came up with a scheme where we increased interest rates on deposits made by women to 7.5% to encourage women to keep their savings in banks rather than keeping that as cash at homes. Property registration in the name of women have tax concessions. Under Poshan Scheme, the nutritional needs of pregnant women and lactating mothers are being met. Under PM Awas Yojana, registration of pucca houses is done either in the name of a woman or jointly with that of a male member. Our campaign “United Against Gender Apartheid” is based on the stories of powerful women who experienced gender discrimination but instead of being silent, they are using their cameras, to be the the tru worriers and pushing for gender apartheid to be criminalized. We call on all the feminist men and women especially in the West to join our fight. We should support the voices of Iranian, Afghan, Sudanese etc women. Global campaigns against rape, execution, gender apartheid, and human rights are where we all can agree on.
