When we rushed outside, we saw numerous ambulances arriving at the scene. We then watched bodies being carried out right before our eyes. Naturally, we are hoping and praying that everyone trapped is safe... My first question is: Satya Niketan is known as a student hub for a reason. If this entire locality consists of PGs, why isn't there a single PG signboard visible right now? Where have the boards gone? We have been standing here for quite some time; other PGs in the lane have been abruptly cleared out, and students have been sent away..."

The tragedy in Satya Niketan is deeply disheartening. A meeting with all concerned departments of the Delhi administration, including the Police and NDRF, was held at the residence of Hon’ble LG Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu Ji. We are working on measures to reduce response time and strengthen emergency preparedness. We are also focusing on providing better residential facilities for students coming from across the country to pursue their education and build their careers, along with regulating PG accommodations. Had the medical facilities, medical teams, police, and fire brigade arrived on time—had all necessary resources and responsible officials been present promptly—perhaps more students could have been saved. Today, I visited the private hospital in Siliguri to meet our Tribal Leader & Lok Sabha MP; Shri Khagen Murmu, who is undergoing treatment after being grievously injured in a brutal, life threatening attack orchestrated by Trinamool Congress jehadi goons. Today, I visited the private hospital in Siliguri to meet our Tribal Leader & Lok Sabha MP; Shri Khagen Murmu, who is undergoing treatment after being grievously injured in a brutal, life threatening attack orchestrated by Trinamool Congress jehadi goons. I personally inquired about his health and hope for his swift and full recovery. In strong condemnation of this heinous assault on MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Dr. Shankar Ghosh by TMC's jihadist elements, I joined the Protest Rally organized by BJP Jalpaiguri Organizational District at Nagrakata. came to satya niketan on ground to cover the PG building collapse, and while rescue operations are still underway, i saw an AISA student union protest happening here. i genuinely have one question: at a time when students and families are waiting for updates, what is the relevance of bringing politics into this? in front of me, multiple ambulances have gone in, including a blinkit ambulance and rescue teams are still working at the site. this is not about stopping anyone from protesting or raising their voice. but right now, shouldn’t the focus be on the students, the families and the rescue operation?
