Statement Issued by Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh: New Delhi, 3 July 2026 The magnificent temple built on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi has become a center of reverence, faith, and devotion for the entire Hindu society due to the struggles of generations and the dedication, sacrifice, and martyrdom of crores of Ram devotees. The unfortunate incident of theft from the donation boxes placed in the Shri Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya has wounded the sentiments and reverence of the entire society and Ram devotees, and we are all hurt by this event. At the earnest request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a Special Investigation Team and initiated legal proceedings based on its recommendations. It is essential to ensure that whoever is found guilty in the investigation receives strict punishment. The Trust can naturally expect from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, along with the entire Hindu society, that this highly condemnable incident be treated as exceptional and that effective steps be taken with utmost seriousness to address all deficiencies in the arrangements and operations, so that the faith and reverence of crores of Ram devotees in the Ayodhya temple remains unbroken and unwavering. The current confusion and uncertainty must end. From this perspective, our expectation is that all necessary initiatives will be taken by the temple management and the special investigation team constituted by the administration. We are confident that through proper financial management, seamless operations with innocent transparent systems, and an atmosphere imbued with purity, sanctity, and profound religiosity, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will continue to strengthen the faith and trust of Hindu society. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh also appeals to the entire Hindu society to demonstrate necessary patience and restraint in this difficult moment and to foil the conspiracies of anti-Hindu, anti-national forces who seek to exploit this unfortunate incident to malign Hindu dharma and society.

A new FATWA from Muslim League IN KERALA; Suprabhatham Bhajan from temples should not be heard outside.🚨🚨 This shocking slogan was raised during congress victory celebrations in Edavanna, Malappuram. Muslim League workers openly shouted provocative slogans saying that temple devotional music will be stopped, and that they will stop it. right in front of the Kolappad Mahavishnu Temple. This temple regularly plays early-morning devotional songs like Suprabhatham, strictly within legal limits and with police permission, following all rules laid down by authorities. Yet, the UDF has now come up with a dangerous new narrative—claiming that temple prayers are a “nuisance” to the public. This protest was staged right before the temple gate, clearly meant as intimidation. Riding on the support and influence of Muslim League and SDPI, the UDF has registered a big victory in Malappuram in the local body elections. Opposing anything perceived as “non-Islamic” and pushing minority appeasement to a new extreme seems to be the new strategy. What we are witnessing now is only the beginning. In the coming days, the people of Kerala will see and hear a far more dangerous version of this politics if it goes unchecked. Let’s be honest. If one short devotional song from a temple is a problem, then how are Hindus expected to accept Azaan five times a day, broadcast loudly across towns? How are we expected to sit quietly through long Friday sermons echoing for hours? In districts like Malappuram, Hindus are increasingly made to feel that their faith must stay silent, invisible, and apologetic — while others can dominate public space freely. A temple that has existed peacefully for decades is now being questioned.Devotion is being mocked. Faith is being portrayed as disturbance. This is the real condition of Hindus in Kerala today.!! If public religious expressions are to be restricted, it must apply to everyone — not selectively to Sanatana Dharma alone. Silence today will only invite more demands tomorrow. Wake up, Kerala. Today, on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking - 2026, I had the honour of inaugurating the Anti-Drug Awareness Week organised by the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate at the ICCC, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The fight against drugs is not just a police priority it is a societal responsibility. I want to be very clear, the deadline is now. I have asked every officer, from Home Guard level to DGP, to remain committed to this fight so that our own children do not fall prey to it. What was once a transit point for drug trafficking has now become a consumption zone. Post-COVID, drug consumption has risen in both urban and rural areas. Our children are being targeted traffickers are going as far as mixing narcotics in chocolates and biscuits to hook young minds. This is nothing short of an anti-national activity. This is more dangerous than terrorism or Naxalism today and we must treat it with the same urgency. If there is no demand, there will be no supply. Reducing demand is our collective responsibility. I took an oath today along with my officers and the students present eradicating drugs is our priority, and EAGLE Force is in full action. We are working in close coordination with the School Education Department, DRI, Enforcement Directorate, and Customs to tackle this at every level. The Education Department has been asked to establish Anti-Drug Safety Clubs in every educational institution. Schools that fail to comply will risk losing their recognition. I urge every parent to monitor their children closely, and appeal to families and society to help rehabilitate addicts through de-addiction centres. Keeping our youth away from drugs is the foundation for a golden future of our nation. “Good Buddhism vs. Bad Hinduism" I serendipitously came across a video short featuring Koenraad Elst, who offers a profound observation. Please watch it👇before proceeding to read further. The "good Buddhism, bad Hinduism" narrative lacks roots in ancient Indian history. Buddhism emerged as a Darshana, an agnostic philosophical school rejecting the Vedas as pramaña, within the broader ecosystem of Hindutva. Please note that Hindutva, originally coined by Chandranath Basu in 1892, is the modern indigenous name for our ancient religion Sanatana Dharma, and we use it in that sense, not in any political or nationalistic sense. Buddhism drew almost all core concepts like karma, dharma, and samsara from Vedic traditions with Buddhist texts heavily borrowing from them. In ancient India, lay practitioners often blended Buddhism and Hindutva seamlessly, without a sharp divide. Buddhism was, in essence, deeply rooted in Hindutva until external forces reframed it. This false binary took shape in the 19th century through colonial Orientalist scholarship, filtered through a Judeo-Christian lens. Western scholars, including missionaries and Indologists like Max Müller, portrayed Hindutva’s polytheism and “idol worship” as superstitious and its caste system as “socially oppressive”, likening it to pre-Reformation Catholicism. Meanwhile, Buddhism’s focus on “compassion” and monastic simplicity was romanticised as a "Protestant-like" reform — enlightened, universal, and akin to Christian ethics. Financial disparities reinforced this: Buddhist studies received patronage from Japan, China, and Western donors, while Hindutva, tied to an impoverished India, lacked similar support. Post-1947, political and ideological forces entrenched this narrative. Nehruvian socialism and Marxist historiography cast Buddhism as a “rational”, “progressive force”, crediting it for Hindutva’s “positive” elements while blaming Hindutva for its inadequacies. Ambedkar’s 1956 mass conversion to Buddhism — his invented Navayana Buddhism, which retains little of traditional Buddhism beyond its name — presented it as an escape from “Hindu oppression,” focusing on caste critique, despite Buddhism’s own historical monastic hierarchies and caste-like structures. Left-leaning academics, media, and textbooks perpetuated this to push anti-Hindu, “egalitarian” agendas, ignoring Buddhism’s elite urban origins. In the West, Buddhism’s “philosophical” image (meditation, mindfulness, and lack of a creator god) aligns with secular and New Age preferences, making it a marketable, “cool” non-theistic tradition. Hindutva, with its diverse rituals and deities, is stereotyped as exotic yet backward, scrutinised over caste without nuance as caste is only social organisation. This fuels more funding, academic positions, and media portrayals (e.g., films like Little Buddha) glorifying Buddhism, while Hindutva faces disproportionate criticism, nay vilification. This narrative is driven by diverse actors with aligned goals of vilifying Hindutva: colonial Christian Indologists and missionaries demonised it to aid conversions; Indian intellectuals like Nehru, Ambedkar, and Marxist historians like Romila Thapar advanced pseudo-secular, anti-Hindutva agendas; modern English media and deep-state-inspired Dalit groups promote Ambedkarite views, framing Buddhism as empowerment; Western academics like Sheldon Pollock and outlets like The New York Times benefit from well-funded Buddhist studies chairs that outnumber those for Hindutva; Buddhist institutions, from ancient monasteries to modern Tibetan exile networks and Western converts, emphasise differences to secure patronage; and global cultural dynamics promote Buddhism as a “universal” export, erasing its Hindu roots to enable Hinduphobia and support missionary conversion tactics. Buddhists following traditional schools such as Theravāda, Mahāyāna, and Vajrayāna must understand and recognize that Hindutva (Sanātana Dharma) is the foundation of Buddhism, without which it cannot exist. They should not fall for the deep-state-inspired Ambedkarite Navayāna narratives, which have nothing to do with traditional Buddhism, or Abrahamic strategies that divide and destroy non-Abrahamic traditions. In Southeast Asia and elsewhere, including India, Christian missionaries, not Hindus, have been converting Buddhists, thereby altering the religious character of those societies and destroying Buddhism. Likewise, Islam has destroyed Buddhism in Afghanistan and the Central Asian republics. As recently as 2001, the Islamic Taliban bombed and destroyed the Bamiyan Buddhas. The Islamic term but parasti, meaning "idol worship," is derived from the word Buddha, in reference to the idols associated with Buddhism. Therefore, in their own self-interest , traditional Buddhists must reject false victimhood and the anti-Hindu weaponisation of their tradition, for Hindus are not their enemy. On the contrary, the enemies of Buddhism and Hindutva are the same; they merely try to create a wedge between Buddhists and Hindus to destroy both.

Today feels like watching history settle into its rightful place. The Bhagwan Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya now stands complete, crowned with the Dharma Dhwaj. That flag is not just fabric. The rising sun on it reminds us that Prabhu Shri Ram belongs to the royal Suryavansh, a line that upheld truth and duty. The sacred Om at the centre speaks of awareness, devotion and the unbroken connection between the devotee and the divine. The Kovidar tree symbol carries the promise of Ram Rajya, good governance and prosperity as described in our ancient texts. Every symbol on that flag tells the story of a civilisation that refused to forget its ideals. On this day my first instinct is to bow my head to those who carried this struggle on their shoulders. From Advani ji, Modi ji, the sadhus and sadhvis who set out on the Rath Yatra, to countless kar sevaks who slept on railway platforms, walked in the heat, faced lathis and bullets. Many of them never came back. We owe a special salute to those who were shot dead when Mulayam Singh ordered firing on Ram bhakts. Their blood is part of the foundation of this temple. We should also remember who stood on the other side of this story. Lalu Yadav stopped the Rath Yatra. Sonia Gandhi’s party tried in court to argue that Bhagwan Ram was only a myth. Kapil Sibal used every technical trick available to keep the case hanging so that a verdict never came in our lifetime. For years this was the pattern. Delay, mock, insult, block. Yet in one moment it all felt worth it. When Narendra Modi ji was hoisting the Dharma Dhwaj, look closely at his hands. They are trembling slightly, the way any devotee shakes when the heart is overflowing. In that instant he looked less like a Prime Minister and more like a common kar sevak who finally got to see the dream completed. I come from a Sanghi household. We have lived through 1984, 1990, 1992, through the years when talking about Ram Mandir in public invited abuse and threats. My father was a swayamsevak and also an Arya Samaji, deeply committed to Hindutva in the purest sense of service and sacrifice. He gave months and years of his life to Dharma, organising, travelling, working day and night for a vision he was not sure he would see fulfilled. He kept that tapasya going till his last breath. Today I feel he is standing in Ayodhya with all of us. Anyone who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s will remember the conversations at home. We would say in simple words “When BJP comes, all this will change. Just once let BJP form a strong government and Ram Mandir will happen.” It sounded childish to some, but it was the only hope millions held on to. When I started campaigning myself, our discussions were always about Article 370, Ram Mandir and many other issues linked to justice for Hindus. Friends would laugh and taunt me. “Neither will BJP come to power nor will any of this happen,” they would say. As a young volunteer I once gathered the courage to ask Advani ji: “Sir, will we really be able to build the temple, looking at how Congress plays politics?” He replied with total confidence, with the voice of a man who had already seen the future in his mind. “No matter what happens, the temple will be built, and it will be built at that very spot.” Today those words echo in Ayodhya. We are fortunate to live in the time of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, Amit Shah as Home Minister and Yogi Adityanath ji in Uttar Pradesh. Along with the tireless efforts of countless unnamed workers, they turned a five hundred year old wound into a centre of pride. Until 2014 it felt like the story would never move forward. There were only court dates, politics, editorials and insults for believers. Today the chapter has finally turned. The birthplace of Shri Ram once again has a grand mandir, and above it the Dharma Dhwaj that announces to the world that Sanatan faith is alive, awake and standing tall. This is not only about architecture. It is about self respect. It is about telling every kar sevak who walked in the dust of Ayodhya, every swayamsevak who gave their youth, every father and mother who whispered “Mandir wahin banega” to their children, that their trust was not misplaced. I feel grateful to be alive to see this day. Grateful to my father’s generation for keeping the flame burning. Grateful to this nation for never letting the memory of Shri Ram’s birthplace fade. Today, the flag on the shikhara carries the stories of five centuries of struggle and the promise of a new era of confidence. “Once hate speech is recognized in law, government decides what counts as hate. And that definition shifts with whoever holds power. These laws are easily turned against dissenting voices, including women who speak plainly about sex.” Kara Dansky testifies against AB 1803, a CA Legislative Jewish Caucus priority bill authored by Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal. When justifying the need for this bill, Asm. Lowenthal talks about the very real problem of antisemitism. But suppressing or chilling people’s speech will not change anyone’s mind. People will not become less antisemitic because the government forces their mouths closed. We have data that tells us this. In fact, it can radicalize people more. In 1977, neo-Nazis announced they would march through Skokie, Illinois, a town home to thousands of Holocaust survivors. The town tried to stop them. The ACLU took the Nazis’ case. The lawyer who argued it was a Jewish man named David Goldberger. That is the America I believe in. The America that allows even the worst ideas to be spoken aloud, because the answer to bad speech is more speech, never less. The America that understands the difference between liberty and state control. The America that refuses to hand government the power to decide which views may be spoken and which must be punished. Both my grandfathers crossed an ocean to fight fascism. They came home to a country deeply imperfect, but committed at its core to freedom. They did not storm beaches and bleed in foreign fields so that, three generations later, their grandchildren would sit silent while the state chipped away at our rights. AB 1803 now heads to the CA Senate Judiciary Committee, and Women Are Real will be there to fight it every step of the way. The First Amendment does not defend itself. It survives only because, in every generation, people refuse to nod along.
