I don't even know how to go to bed with this heavy heart 💔😭 There is this lady on tiktok that makes really interesting videos with her maid Precious. The girl looks very happy and well taken care of and she has somehow become a member of the family. Last year, she posted that the girl's father said he wanted to come and visit them and enjoy with them small. But she told him her husband did not approve or so. Obviously, someone has been sharing the videos they make with him. Not long after he started demanding that the girl be sent back or he will go diabolical on them. Afraid of what would happen to the girl's future if she returned, this lady's family did everything to keep the girl from going back, they even went ahead to pay her bride price ( I don't know what that means). Still the man insisted. At a point, it was said that the man was her uncle not her father and he said precious should be returned and replaced with his own daughter or so... Last last, the girl was returned and she was greatly missed. Tonight I was scrolling through tiktok and saw the woman's obituary. Instead of remorse, the suspect and his accomplices tried to intimidate the child’s mother demanding she take her daughter to “their” hospital and later sending groups of elders some from the mosque (Taqwa Mosque mlolongo) to her home to pressure her into withdrawing the police case and have it settled by elders. They told her, “Your daughter is not the first to be molested.” And yet, this strong mother refused to be silenced. She refused to sell justice for “peace.” She chose her daughter over fear. As her child continues to receive medical care, the family is being repeatedly intimidated but her courage shines brighter than their threats. Today, as we celebrate mothers, let’s stand with this one who is fighting for every girl’s right to safety and dignity. Arrest the suspect, Mwalimu Maalim Mursa. ✅ Protect the victim and her mother from further intimidation. ✅ Let justice be done not buried under silence and threats. No girl deserves this. This man’s daughter is graduating high school and they are so proud to hear her name called. However minutes before she was supposed to go on stage, she was escorted back by a police officer because the school staff won’t let her wear her Lei. The family is from Hawaii and they feel it’s a part of to wit culture and don’t see why a ring of flowers could be offensive. If other people are allowed to wear things that represent their own culture or religion, shouldn’t this be allowed as well? If this was your daughter and they told her she couldn’t walk because of her flowers, would you make her take it off?
