A few minutes ago, I carried out my democratic duty by casting my vote at my polling unit in Ede. I commend the good people of Osun for maintaining a peaceful and orderly atmosphere at polling units across the state and encourage everyone to exercise their democratic right. Local government elections are the closest to the grassroots, and getting it right starts with electing the right leaders. Together, we will make Osun great #OsunLGElectionDay2025

Kudos to the youth of #Mogadishu for leading by example through street clean-ups and restoring order an inspiring display of civic responsibility. This is a moment for the diaspora to mobilize resources and scale such initiatives across Somalia, especially as political leadership has failed to prioritize public welfare over personal gain. By supporting one another and investing in community-driven projects such as refurbishing and restoring the Mogadishu Lighthouse to its original white we can set a higher standard and visibly demonstrate the Somalia we want to build.

I am forever grateful to the thousands of Virginians who trusted me with their vote, to our volunteers, to our supporters, and to my family. Earlier today I called Eugene Vindman to concede the race. I expect him to do everything in his power in Congress to make life better for the people of this district. In Canadian democracy (is there one??) the people in a Federal election are not voting locally for that individual, but rather picking the party and the local gets a seat The people in Nova Scotia voted Conservative! The DIDN’T vote for Chris d’Entremont, the people were voting for CHANGE, VOTED FOR PIERRE!
