Today, I introduced the Ban Corporate PAC Act. From my very first campaign, I’ve refused to take corporate PAC money. I made that call, against the advice of every political insider I met, because I never wanted Michiganders to question why I was casting a vote.

When I first ran for Congress, I made a decision to not take any corporate PAC money. Today, I am one of only six U.S. Senators who has still never taken a corporate PAC check. Our campaign finance system is the worst you could ever design -- it's like a Frankenstein -- and I have seen how that money warps our political process against the middle class.
