Today, as we launch Unnayoner Panchali, we are presenting the collective journey of a people who chose progress over prejudice, humanity over hostility, and unity over divisiveness. This report card reflects a model of development rooted in social security, women empowerment, economic growth, and transparent delivery of public services. From expanding access to health and education, to strengthening rural livelihoods, to creating new opportunities for the youth, each initiative represents a clear, consistent intent that Bengal’s progress must be broad-based, equitable and sustainable. Our State Government has always believed that public welfare cannot be compromised by political expediency. Despite the Centre withholding Bengal’s dues out of sheer vindictiveness, we have ensured that people’s rights and entitlements are protected. Whether through Lakshmir Bhandar, Kanyashree, Swasthya Sathi, Khadyasathi, Krishak Bandhu, Duare Sarkar, Karmashree, Banglar Bari, or the countless other schemes, our priority has remained to safeguard the future of our people and strengthen the foundation of this state. This year marks another blessed celebration of Kali Pujo at my residence, a tradition that has been part of my life for decades. Through every joy and sorrow, I have found solace and purpose in the boundless grace of Maa Kali. Like every year, I observed the day in prayer and reflection, fasting and preparing bhog for Maa. As I bowed before Her, I sought Her blessings for the people of Bengal and for every household across our country, that peace, health, and happiness may prevail. My heartfelt gratitude to all who joined in the celebrations and offered their love and wishes. May the eternal light of Maa Kali dispel darkness and fill every life with strength, harmony, and hope. The spontaneous support in favour of the Maa-Mati-Manush candidates reinforces my firm belief that the people of Purba Medinipur and Paschim Medinipur are committed to continuing the path of development under the Trinamool Congress. If the people of Bengal aspire to live with dignity, safeguard their rights, and protect the state from BJP's coercive bulldozer politics, then every vote must strengthen the forces of inclusive development. BJP’s politics of division, fuelled by attempts to polarise communities, undermine linguistic identity, and erode fundamental rights, has no place in Bengal and must be firmly repudiated. Bengal has always stood as a beacon of harmony, pluralism, and cultural pride. Ours is a land where every language is respected, every identity is valued, and unity in diversity is a lived reality. In this spirit, I earnestly appeal to the people to extend their wholehearted support and blessings to Smt. My nomination marks not only a significant milestone in my leadership journey, but also a powerful symbol of the trust and hope that the people of Kitgum continue to place in visionary, servant-driven leadership. I’m no stranger to the challenges and aspirations of our district. With a record of advocating for women’s empowerment, youth development, improved health services, education access, and inclusive economic growth, my leadership has already brought tangible results and inspired many—particularly women and young girls—to rise, speak, and lead.
