Today I realized that I never see Mitsubishi Evolutions in the wild, in any generation. Not on the street, not at meets, not at the track. Yet you see so many Subaru STIs almost daily. Why is that? They were approximately the same price, yet they are like a... show more

Most of the Evo's in Socal are bought and parted by two groups. Rare for us now.

it was quick 🔥🔥🔥

Rarer than hen’s teeth

Here's mine in the wild

It depends on where you live. I used to see them all the time when I lived in Los Angeles, and I see them when I visit Texas. But a lot of them were driven hard and crashed. Or modified to the point of failure. Not to mention, so many of them blew their engines, even when not abused. Lastly, the Subaru outsold the Evo by 4:1.

they're all on marketplace needing new transmissions 😭😭😭

It's hard to find pictures that go back far enough but even as a kid in America we had tributes to these legends of time attack in Forza liveries going back to 2007. This and the Auto Select shark GTRs were always my favorite. Respect to Mr. Yamada and RIP Mr. Takizawa

I’ve seen maybe 3 Evo IX’s and X’s in my neck of the woods of Central Texas. There’s around 10-15 lancers with evo wings and a 4” single exit. Never seen anything older than an IX in Texas.

Evo is too fast to see! 🤑

Because you live in NA

sitting in garages because the people that own them work all the time!

I saw a clean 9 MR a few days ago. Made my day.

I was just saying this recently. Majority are locked away in garages - enthusiasts still own them, but not daily-driven. Same with their DSM counterparts.

Know this evo from c1gp It’s my childhood fav car :)

No more available new parts . Nobody wants to break them * most

i saw an evo yesterday actually, was a nice white evo x

I had a friend with an Evo in highschool and that thing ripped so hard.

I see them everyday, but I’m in Japan lol

QC also just has a weird obsession with Subaru as well so that also plays a part into it lol

I have one currently and have owned 6 over the past 20 years.

What were the sales figures on those ?

I had the pleasure to work on several Evo's during their prime time. Have never ownwd one but put lots of heart and determination into customers projects. Good old times. Now it is as you say, they are slowly going extinct.
