The Florida Constitution gives me the responsibility to appoint a U.S. Senator to replace future Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Florida needs a fighter in Washington to help President Trump fulfill his mandate to secure our border, deport illegal aliens, and restore our nation's sovereignty. Attorney General Ashley Moody has demonstrated, through her years of honorable service to the people of Florida, that she is the right leader to get the job done. I am pleased to nominate Robert (Bobby) Long to serve as Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Bobby is currently a Judge on Florida’s First District Court of Appeal. A longtime member of the Navy JAG Corps, Bobby was previously a Trial Judge on Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit Court and, prior to that, General Counsel of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, where he was a Police Officer before becoming a lawyer. Bobby received his Law Degree from the University of Florida College of Law, and his Undergraduate Degree from Florida State University.
