Today I start 34 radiation sessions over 7 weeks, every day except holidays. A bit nervous, but hopeful this will sort out the skin cancer so we can focus on fighting the bone marrow cancer. I feel good and it’s a beautiful day to begin. No Retreat. No Surrender. 💪

Cancer is like the weather—it can change in an instant. My calcium levels have shot up and my markers aren’t good, so I couldn’t receive my Keytruda today. But I still feel strong. Day 5 of my water-only fast, and I’ll keep fighting because storms don’t last forever. 💪❤️

My name is Wangeci Alice, For the past few weeks, since I was admitted on 28th March, I’ve been suffering silently … but it’s time to speak up and ask for your support. A day after admission, on the 29th March, I bravely faced my first surgery, which was the separation to prepare for main surgery. I was in pain, but hopeful—because I knew on 5th April, a new journey would start with my hip replacement. But this never happened. SHA failed after the hospital sent the preauthorization. We did this again and again. But no approval. Which meant no surgery. Total silence. They said I wait until 12th April. I waited, broken but hopeful. But 12th came and went like the rest of the days. And now it’s pushed again—to 18th April. Still, no approval. No surgery. I’m still here, in this hospital bed. Day and night. Patient and hopeful. But that is another bill on top of another, daily. With metal rods pulling at my leg. And a hip crying out for relief. It’s a heart tired of waiting.

Easter weekend is over and unfortunately the pain is back. The Pseudomonas bacteria has returned too, which means I’m back on antibiotics. Not easy days, but I’ll keep pushing through. One day at a time. No Retreat. No Surrender. 💪

I kept thinking about their lyrics since yesterday. You sang Cosmic yesterday and Day 1 today. I was thinking, what lyrics in Day 1 made you choose to sing it today. Anyway, I thought that the feelings you feel and the ones I feel are similar, right? 👥 Yes!!! 🩷 So when you sang Day 1... I've been (feeling) like that since yesterday. Anyway, I was so happy performing today! I enjoyed it so much. Having fun with you, singing with you, spending time with you... I feel like it is such a happy time. Thank you for coming today

Happy Canada Day!!!! 🇨🇦 Here’s a little montage over the past couple years celebrating Canada Day. For me today is a day to celebrate all the incredible things about our country. I feel so lucky my parents chose to build a life for us in this amazing place. Today is also a day to reflect on what we need to do to build an even brighter future. It’s a day to imagine how can we take better care of each other so that we all rise.

Lobular Cancer is the 2nd most common type of breast cancer, but currently has no specific treatment. After meeting my constituent Katie over the summer and learning more about this type of cancer, I have been working with Dr Susan Michaelis at the Lobular Moonshot Project to campaign for funding to create a dedicated research stream for Lobular Cancer. Today, during PMQs, I asked the Prime Minister if he would meet me and Susan to discuss how the Government can help us save more lives from breast cancer.

One thing I love about the North London Derby is that it’s a day locked into the calendar. No matter the situation, even when we’re shite, down near the bottom of the table and everything feels a bit shit, it’s still a wonderful day in Tottenham. What happens during the game is sometimes another matter, but we always turn up and enjoy it for what it is. When we left White Hart Lane there was no attempt to carry the culture across, no effort to move seamlessly into the new stadium and retain the atmosphere and culture built over generations. The club systematically killed fan culture. We lost so much. The intention was clear: a new, higher-spending fanbase, a change, a focus on revenue and ultimately, asset value. But one thing that can never change is this day. This is when we reclaim the club. Uncontrolled, undiluted. We just take over and everything is different. Bedlam. There’s something magical about the North London Derby. There’s something special about our fanbase when we come out en masse. I can’t wait to see my mates, feel that atmosphere building, the anticipation you somehow feel in the air the second you step off the train, the hatred, the noise, the pride, the hostility. I love everything about it. Up the Spurs. Here’s to another magical day. Beautiful Tottenham atmosphere.

Six and a half weeks ago, I couldn’t move. Now I can, a bit. Still numb down one side, and still can’t walk unaided. No damage to my cognition, and speech is good, though not perfect. Long way to go, and I have no idea how far I’ll get, but it’s a start! 🙏
