Your bill protects no aspect of the 2nd Amendment or the rights of law abiding Americans. Thankfully it will never become law and if it did you would lose in court near instantly.

Our democracy is in trouble. But there's still loads of evidence it can work. 3 years ago today we made history and passed the first gun bill in 30 years. And in the 3 years since, gun homicides and mass shootings in have plummeted. That's great news we should spread.

Gregory Bovino and Trump's reign of terror have returned. I'm fighting to bring it to an end. My bill, the PROTECT Immigration Act, will end the program that lets ICE and CBP coopt our local police for detention and detainments. My bill will restore trust in local law enforcement AND protect our law-abiding neighbors. I’m thankful for Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Congresswoman Sarah McBride, Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, ACLU, and American Immigration Council for their leadership on this.

My stance on the Second Amendment is simple: I’m not going to take anyone’s guns away. I believe in the Constitution. But Americans need to work together to figure out why we have mass shootings every 21 hours. Something changed around the time of the Columbine shootings in 1999, and it wasn’t the number of guns in America. The National Institutes of Health refuses to investigate the mystery; in fact, Congress prohibits the NIH from researching the cause of mass shootings. Under my administration, that rule ends — and our kids’ safety becomes a top priority. Thank you, Glenn Beck, for the conversation.
