Why should the Australian public take Labor seriously on economic management when it can’t even rein in deficits over a period of a decade? If Australia was a business that forecast losses for the next decade it would be declared bankrupt and receivers appointed. Why should the Australian public vote for a government that can’t stimulate an economy back into profit given Australia’s vast resources and economic potential! At the start of this term I had a meeting with the Treasurer Jim Chalmers, as I did with former Treasurer Frydenberg where I outlined a number of loopholes in the tax and monetary policy settings that favoured foreign investors. Yet Labor has done nothing to remove these loopholes that would help get the budget into surplus. That’s the worst thing about this budget. Labor doesn’t have the will power or the solutions that will set our children up for the future. #auspol

In Estimates I asked the Finance Minister why retired Canberra bureaucrats should be receiving pensions much higher than those in the private sector, especially when the bureaucrats were highly paid throughout their working careers. The cost of these pensions as modelled by the Finance Department is $335 billion for 165,000 retired bureaucrats. (I am not referring to the military pension.) This works out at $2 million per bureaucrat. There are 40,000 who receive over $75,000 at a cost of $137 billion or almost $3.5 million each despite these people being very highly paid throughout their careers. The fact that both major parties have sat on their hands about this shows they are in bed with the Canberra bureaucracy. Don’t believe them when they say they care about hard working Australians. They don’t. If they did they would stop this rort immediately. PeopleFirst is the only party that has a policy to end this theft of taxpayers money. #auspol

When the Finance minister of a country does what Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister, Mthuli Ncube did today asking supermarkets to remove “US Dollar only” signs, then you know that the Government is clueless about the problems that have encircled the economy! You see, Zimbabwe has the highest inflation in the world at 717%, and its local currency is crashing daily forcing retailers to stick to US Dollars to avoid running losses. The offices exchange rate is at 1800 to the US Dollar but the Black Market rate is around 4000 to 5000 to the US Dollar. This high inflation has been caused by irresponsible economic policies, the looting of public funds by ZANUPF elites, and the plunder of the country’s natural resources. The Zim dollar is now weak because of all these things and more things like repression and an uncertain election. The Zim Dollar can’t be traded anywhere else outside Zimbabwe. Mthuli Ncube who was once a professor fails to understand that by forcing retailers to accept a battered currency, shelves will soon be empty! Government is now worried because it pays its workers using the useless local currency. They literally don’t know what to do with an impending election in August. Unfortunately for President Mnangagwa and his beleaguered Government, the economy is not scared of violence, the police, captured judiciary or his filthy jails. It has a mind of its own! Mnangagwa and his Finance minister must ask why shops are refusing the domestic currency and whether they can re-stock using the domestic currency. Business is not the enemy, incompetence in Government and corruption are the real enemies that have brought down the economy! That other enemy is the refusal to listen to common sense!

When I was a kid, I started following politics, glued to the TV set watching Pierre Trudeau sparring with Quebec separatist Premier Rene Levesque on the one hand and the Conservatives on the other as his government brought our Constitution home and created our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This is what inspired me to become a Liberal. I was a child of Dutch immigrants and I was excited about a Prime Minister who fought against nationalism in Quebec and for a Canada that was more independent of Britain, so that people who were neither English nor French would be considered just as Canadian as everyone else. I heard from my parents and in school about what a much more dangerous nationalism did in Europe. It was the reason why our families immigrated after World War II. And I saw Conservatives against all of this, fighting against the Charter and nit-picking against this patriation, just like they were originally against our own Canadian flag. So I am really happy to celebrate today as the 44th anniversary of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Cheers to Pierre Trudeau!

Alan Greenspan, who was the chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1987 to 2006, did an interview in late 2007 when concerns began to grow in the minds of the public about the impending collapse of the economy and rising inflation, where he says something that is really important to remember in 2023. In this interview for News Hour with Jim Lehrer, he was asked about the relationship between the President of the US and the Federal Reserve, and his response should horrify everyone and always be kept in mind when the government is threatening shutdowns and giving billions of dollars to Ukraine and other countries, while people in America are being bankrupted by medical costs and barely able to afford groceries with rising inflation from their reckless continual printing. He says that the Federal Reserve is an independent agency that is not apart of the US government, and is above the law where the relationship between them doesn't matter. They can print as much money as they want and no one can stop them. This is why politics is largely theater in my eyes and the fate of nations is not in the hands of the people or their votes, but in the hands of multinational central banking organizations that exist above all the governments. Ron Paul was trying to tell people this decades ago, and no one would listen and said he was crazy. Now we're here with $30+ trillion dollars of debt, mass inflation with cost of living growing with it, mega-corporations like Blackrock and Vanguard owning everything, and the impending collapse of the middle class for the beloved great reset where we are all slaves to the same system. To quote Thomas Jefferson: “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. After saying he has never focused on culture wars he then goes on a mind bending semantic word salad about entering countries and welcoming people to their own homes. In other words he contradicted his initial statement by engaging in culture wars. Albanese has always been a culture warrior for the simple reason he has no real solutions to fix the economic malaise the Australian economy is in. In fact he seems determined to punish hard working Australians by imposing higher taxes on them than foreigners and his mates in the Superannuation industry. As Prime Minister for Australia he should rise above the culture war rhetoric and instead unify the nation by focusing on what all Australians want - greater prosperity and a better life for their children. He should focus on lower taxes, less regulation and more efficient government spending. After saying he has never focused on culture wars he then goes on a mind bending semantic word salad about entering countries and welcoming people to their own homes. In other words he contradicted his initial statement by engaging in culture wars. Albanese has always been a culture warrior for the simple reason he has no real solutions to fix the economic malaise the Australian economy is in. In fact he seems determined to punish hard working Australians by imposing higher taxes on them than foreigners and his mates in the Superannuation industry. As Prime Minister for Australia he should rise above the culture war rhetoric and instead unify the nation by focusing on what all Australians want - greater prosperity and a better life for their children. He should focus on lower taxes, less regulation and more efficient government spending. Not a single word about why British Columbia now leads the country in unaffordability. Not a single word about why people are leaving this province in numbers we haven’t seen in decades. PART 1: Dancing for Israel, handcuffs for Palestine Hundreds gathered at Dam Square on Thursday evening for a rally by Op de Bres voor Israël. Amid arrests and violence, our footage shows people dancing with Israeli flags on a square with a long history of war commemoration, while a short distance away pro-Palestinian counter-protesters were being arrested with force. Around thirty counter-protesters had gathered near the National Monument. Dozens were arrested; police have not released exact figures. According to another journalist present, a man on the pro-Israel side hit someone. We did not record the assault, but our footage appears to show him being arrested. Officers let him go. A second man told us he was hit by masked Pro Israel attendees and he intends to file a police report. A third violent incident was witnessed by us. In none of the three cases was the alleged aggressor taken away. At Oude Turfmarkt, police held a group of counter-protesters in a cordon for roughly two hours. A woman became unwell. A bystander who says she is trained in medical and emergency response told Whispering Media that police refused to let the woman leave and initially refused to call emergency services. When she tried to help herself, officers threatened her with pepper spray, she said. Our footage shows an ambulance arrived about thirty minutes later. Another protester was knocked to the ground and, according to information received by Whispering Media, broke an arm in three places. The person is undergoing surgery today. We will report further once more is confirmed. Seven tourists were also taken away in a detention bus. Our footage shows two of them surrounded by officers moments after leaving a shop with a purchase. They were not part of the counter-protest. Two journalists were pushed by the ME. They file a complaint. The footage raises specific questions. Why could one side dance and wave flags while those protesting the destruction of Gaza were arrested with force? Why were men accused of violence not taken away, while counter-protesters and even tourists were? And on what grounds did police decide who went into the detention bus?
