We are honoured to share that General Dallaire (Ret’d) has taken another step in his healing journey, joining our PTSD Service Dog program and welcoming Clovis, a PTSD Service Dog in training, into his life and family. For 32 years, General Dallaire has been battling his injuries sustained as commander of the UN peacekeeping force during the Rwandan genocide. Deeply impacted by his experience, he has become an international advocate for peace, human rights, and mental health. We invite you to watch General Dallaire’s powerful video, where he shares why asking for help matters, what a PTSD Service Dog means to him and his family, and why this story and supporting Wounded Warriors Canada is important for all Canadians. General Dallaire and Clovis are working with our training partners at Les chiens TOGO and are in the midst of the extensive training required to properly pair a PTSD Service Dog with an injured Veteran or First Responder.
