Friends, on this Fifth Sunday of Easter, we have an extraordinary Gospel that is at the heart of the Christian thing. Jesus, at the beginning of a lengthy and incredibly rich monologue he gives the night before he dies, says to his disciples, “I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” This is not a sentimental or psychological banality. To understand Jesus here, we have to understand what a strange thing love is—and the way the word is being used.

Why Holy Thursday Is So Powerful - Biblical Truth Most Christians Don't Know on Holy Thursday also Called no Maundy Thursday - three of the most powerful moments in all of Scripture took place in a single night. Jesus instituted the Holy Eucharist (Luke 22:19-20), washed His disciples' feet (John 13:3-5), and gave the world a new commandment to love one another (John 13:34). The word "Maundy" comes from the Latin mandatum - meaning commandment. This wasn't just a farewell dinner. It was the night a new covenant was sealed, a King became a servant, and love was redefined as sacrifice. Don't just observe Holy Thursday - understand it. ■ References: Luke 22:19-20 | John 13:3-5 | John 13:34

If you are a Christian and not a Catholic, then that is a big problem, and I genuinely feel sad for you. One of the things I love Fr. Beard for is how he says things with authority. He doesn't mince his words, especially when it comes to the doctrines of the church. Anyone who rejects the Eucharist has rejected Jesus and will not go to Heaven. Jesus said this himself in simple words.

Three months without you, Michael. Hmmmm.... Where do I begin? Some dates are impossible to simply pass. Today, I remember you not only for the space you left behind, but for the love, memories, music, and the life we shared together. "Without You" is a tribute born out of that love and the loss. Music created from the hardest place, carrying stories that words alone could never fully tell. Today, I remember. On Friday the 21st of August I share "Without You" the EP with the world. For Michael, For Niniola. For everyone who has ever had to find a way to keep going. WITHOUT YOU Friday 21.08.2026 🕊️

THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS! When you say "Jesus", what comes to your mind? The name “Jesus” is not an ordinary name. It carries supernatural possibility and authority in the Kingdom to create change and birth possibilities. There is power in the name of Jesus. When God declares a Word, there is a power that backs it! Your role is to believe it! There is power when you believe in Jesus. When Jesus says He'll lift you, forget who says they will bring you down. The challenge is that our faith is auxiliary faith, hoping it's connected to something. Do not give God a template for manifestation before you believe. God can choose to use several means, different from the usual to produce certain results. You can watch the full sermon during the "August 2023 Miracle Service" on our YouTube channel at Koinonia Global. Share with others and be blessed. #ApostleJoshuaSelman #August2023MiracleService #KoinoniaAbuja #KoinoniaGlobal

This week, the Lord will remember you for good; He will give you double of everything you’ve lost; I command your stolen goods to be returned; You will be the head and not the tail in Jesus’ name!

The more we identify with and remember Jesus Christ, the more we want to be like Him. As His disciples, we change for the better when we focus on Him, more so than when we focus on ourselves.

Latin word for today: Persona From the preposition "per" meaning "through" and "sonare" meaning "to sound, to speak" (the root of words like "sonar" and "resonant"). Originally the word for the theater masks worn by actors, the "persona" is that through which you speak.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS I declare that as you go to bed, you’ll see a script that unfolds ten years in the name of Jesus Christ! You’ll see the script of your destiny and supernatural solutions. God will show you what to do, receive it in Jesus’ name! I declare that you will open the Bible and the Spirit of truth will take you to the exact point that carries your answers, in the name of Jesus Christ! I declare that the witness of the Holy Spirit will help you know that you are in the right place and help you to make the right decisions, in the name of Jesus Christ! I decree over you that you will not be a victim of negative prophecies. Any prophetic word that is accurate and will move you forward, I declare that you experience it with clarity of understanding, in the name of Jesus Christ! I declare that God will lead you to a message, book or article, or resource that has the answer or solution to your challenges, in the name of Jesus Christ! I decree and declare that as God is speaking to you, may He speak to your helper, in the name of Jesus Christ! I decree and declare that every deceptive speaking that came to you as a strategy may that strategy be deleted from your spirit, mind, and consciousness in the name of Jesus Christ! Declare: I go forward! I manifest dominion by the Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus Christ! #PropheticDeclarations #ApostleJoshuaSelman #TheHiddenWisdomOfGod #AccessingSupernaturalSolutions #KoinoniaAbuja #KoinoniaGlobal

As that most famous woman preacher says, “I didn’t surrender to a calling of man when I was 18 years old, I surrendered to a calling of God. It never occurs to me for a second not to fulfill it. I will follow Jesus. Jesus tells me what to do.” Really? Does the Bible Allow a Woman to Preach? — John MacArthur // November 3, 2019 For it is improper for a woman to speak in church.” That puts a burden on the husband to be the teacher. But then, verse 36. “Why would you defy this? Was it from you that the word of God first went forth?” Well, that is just sarcasm. “Did you write the Bible? Was it from you that the Word of God went? Are you the source of divine truth? Because if you defy this, you’re acting as if you are God, and you have overruled the revelation of God because you’re a higher authority. Or maybe,” – more sarcasm – “or has it come to you only? You had a private revelation, I see. Jesus came to you. Jesus told you to do this.” Look, Paul anticipates the only possible defense of women preachers. One, “You have ideas that literally trump God. You’re getting private revelation.” As that most famous woman preacher says, “I didn’t surrender to a calling of man when I was 18 years old, I surrendered to a calling of God. It never occurs to me for a second not to fulfill it. I will follow Jesus. Jesus tells me what to do.” Really? The only defense is either you’re the author of Scripture, or you’re the author of a higher scripture than God, or you get personal revelation. One of the conversations that that woman had with Jesus went like this: “How ya doing this morning?” Jesus said. I said, “I’ll get to You in a minute.” He said, “Oh, don’t mind Me. I’m doing fine. How are you?” This is the daily routine of somebody who’s trying to justify their disobedience by special, intimate, personal revelation where Jesus talks only to them. So here’s a last word, verse 37 and 38: “If anyone thinks he’s a preacher, or spiritual,” – led by the Spirit, pneumatikos – “if anybody thinks he’s a preacher, or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you are the Lord’s commandment. If you don’t recognize what I’ve just written as the Lord’s commandment, you are neither a preacher nor spiritual.”Verse 38: “If anyone does not recognize what I have written as the Lord’s command, he is not recognized.” If you don’t recognize the command of God, we don’t recognize you as a preacher or a spiritual person. What Paul wrote is the Lord’s command. Violate that command and you’re not a preacher and you’re not spiritual; you’re a fraud. The Word of God is clear.
