just watched pastor mick and pastor Lorraine. She doesn’t get it. Not everyone wants a burial it’s costly with recurring costs. Water Cremation is a good option and isn’t it our choice? Pastor mick was great he should’ve spoken more he made sense. Price is a huge factor.

Pastor Lorraine was missing the point. You can still have a celebration of life if you choose resomation. As a former funeral arranger we always did our best to look after the families during the grief journey. Not everyone can afford a massive attended funeral.

I’m sure there were the same reservations on the introduction of cremation. As always people will have a choice and having read up on it I’m not sure where it’s so different, water and chemicals rather than fire.

Disappointing handling of this debate! Why invite 2 ministers (1 v. shouty), instead of someone with actual knowledge of the funeral industry such as Fran Hall @GreatFunerals who could have explained how polluting traditional burials & cremations are & option of natural burials.

Did she have to keep shouting, this wasn't about the cost of funerals it was about the water cremation, she went totally off topic just to get her point across. Irritating.
