Another major construction project at Tesla Giga Texas today is the new test track on the far SW of the property! A large “oval” like outer track with what looks like a smaller oval track is definitely taking shape, and of course there will be support structures and more added as this project continues to make progress. Overall, the amount of construction around the Giga Texas project is approaching the original effort to make the main factory almost 6 years ago! It’s hard to keep track of it all, but I’m trying! Such an amazing story that has been, & continues to happen here just east of Austin!

'Scratch My Back' was released on this day in 2010, with a cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes' as the opening track. 'Songwriting is what drew me into music. The craft and the process of putting together a good song seemed both exciting and magical. I have also wanted to record some of my favourite songs for a long time. Rather than make a traditional covers record, I thought it would be much more fun to create a new type of project in which artists communicated with each other and swapped a song for a song, i.e. you do one of mine and I’ll do one of yours, hence the title - Scratch My Back - and I’ll scratch yours.' Heroes, the opening track of the album, performed here at the Arena di Verona, September 2010.

Happy Final Space Friday! Got another soundtrack piece "One Final Talk" from Andrew Goodwin and now that I'm hearing more music it's hard for me to imagine this novel without the music. It adds so much emotion for our final ride. Me and Seth went over all the notes from our test readers and are starting to fix the spelling errors and grammar stuff. There are a couple page fixes for three moments to land even harder that I'm going to give Daz Daz Tibbles, today! So the good new is there isn't a lot to fix or add. I'm currently combing the novel to find the right spot to add our embedded soundtrack and blending it into the story as best as possible. There will be some adds with this too. I'm also finishing up the back matter to the novel with will include a written goodbye from me and sketches of pages from ideas to ink to color which will be cool. And I'm hoping to put an audio commentary from Daz and I as we talk over each part. I really like this idea so you all can follow along as we talk about it. Now color were getting there, we have to fix Part 3, Part 4 (we fixed the inking so we need to fix the coloring), were coloring Part 5, Part 7 still needs to be colored and then Part 8. I'm playing with the idea that part of PART 8 will be black and white and then the color comes back and a killer moment (it's apart of the story) but this has been an idea I was playing around with since the beginning and it looks REALLY cool. “Feel Like That” is OUT NOW!!! This track means a lot to us personally on so many levels. It’s the first track we are releasing from the next chapter of Sublime with Eric, Bud and Jakob. We wanted to honor the past while bringing in the future…the song features vocals from Brad and Jakob which is so special for all of us. The blend of the new generation and the classic OG Sublime is what we aimed for and hearing them together is beyond amazing. Having it come together with Brad and Jake and including our boys Stick Figure along with Miguel producing is representative of the past we honor and the future we want to sonically expand on. It’s the blend we wanted to offer the world for the first thing they heard from the reborn Sublime. The track is out now and the response we have gotten brings us joy. Sublime Family Forever!!! #BaiJingTing: When we first engaged this project (#TheFirstFrost), it posed a great challenge to me. I did some homework and preparation, and (read) the novel. One major helpful factor is that, before our drama adaptation, there have already been other excellent interpretations of this novel, which gave me great inspiration! It included the understanding of many readers toward this novel, which also gave me great support to better understand the character. Besides reading the novel, I also listened to the audio novel, read the Manhua, and watched the Animation (still an ongoing release). These have been very beneficial for me. Many readers have already established their own understanding and interpretation of (Sang Yan) so I actually read a great number of evaluations from everybody. Based on the perspective of the readers — how is the character like? — I did my best to understand how everyone feels towards the character. Then, through the approach of adapting a character from a (non-film medium) into a drama adaptation, we help the audience to accept this adaptation. This process was actually quite difficult but I enjoyed it, because while understanding the novel, listening to the audio novel, and watching the animation, I was also healed at the same time.

Tim Burton on the similarities between Abraham Lincoln & Batman: "I first heard the idea of even before Seth Grahame-Smith had written the book. It was just when he was thinking about writing the book, I heard the title "Abraham Lincoln vampire Hunter". It just all of a sudden took me [my mind] back to kind of the era of films that I grew up in; like the 60s & early 70s where it was like a weird mashup of movie. I remember things like "Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde" (1971) and you know you get these weird kind of mixups of horror films and it just sounded to me like the kind of a movie that I wanted to see. It just reminded me of movie of that era and it had that kind of crazy energy to it and weird juxtapositions of things. So I knew even before reading he book that it was a great idea. It basically takes the the story of Lincoln which Seth really kind of went through the history of the life of Lincoln and linked it up to sort of vampire mythology. The idea that his mother was ki!!ed by a vampire and how that shaped the rest of his life. And again the interesting thing about it is that it's not as farfetched as it sounds. I mean the events and the idea of him becoming a vampire hunter and like all the deaths that he had in his family and people close to him, it makes a lot of sense and it's actually more believable than the premise makes it. So that's what was interesting because we never wanted to make fun of anything. We wanted to treat it seriously like a human story and a real story. We talked about the idea and the fact is that it very much sort of Mirrors the kind of the classic comic book superhero mythology. In some cases he's not dissimilar from Batman in the sense that he's got a dual life; he's got a day job as President and a night job as a vampire Hunter; The kind of duality of those characters and that's is something that was important - to keep the human quality of him but then kind of explore the mythological or sort of superhero nature of how we perceive Lincoln and mix those two together and that's what we have in the movie."
