Protocol v27 is referred to as the last one in the current line of upgrades and features enhanced smart contract authentication. It provides the accounts and applications with more sophisticated means for transaction authorization and extends the smart contract capabilities of the network. The new protocol will help develop infrastructure and ecosystem, requiring node operators to upgrade to version 27.1 before the deadline in order to stay connected to Mainnet. Worth noting that there is no need for users and miners to perform any actions. Pioneers will be observing whether these protocol updates will help the network implement its future utilities.
