Today marks 25 years since Brian Moore passed away. This was ITV’s moving tribute to him shortly after his death. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest football commentators/presenters we’ve ever had. A true gentleman of the game. ❤️

Compare one of the greatest to the bloody awful so called celebrity pundits we suffer today SLY TNT ITV you have a lot to answer for ,25 years what a difference sublime to the ridiculous

The best football commentator ever - never waffled, didn’t talk non-stop for 90 minutes, just described each piece of action perfectly

I had the joy of working with his son Simon (a brilliant Sports Producer). Simon is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met, so I imagine his Dad was the same. Brilliant commentator too. 🫶

⚽️📺⚽️📺...Not seen that before....The least he deserved...Luckily, we have the Big Match Revisited most Saturday's to remind us, how good he was..... @ITVSport

The consummate professional with no ego whatsover. Was largely taken for granted at the time but he was seriously good. Just gets pipped by Barry Davies in my greatest ever list. 🫡

Still catch him now and again on Big Match Revisited on ITV4.

Had a cup of coffee with Brian, in a quiet corner of the Stade de France, before his final live commentary at the 1998 World Cup final. No fuss, no fanfares, no laps of honour - just a thoroughly dignified, decent chap. So, so sad we lost him only three years later.

@stuvon5000 One of the best Commentators I remember as a child. A real Gentleman too. Rest In Peace 🙏🏾🤍🙏🏾💯🌹💯

He always used to attend the Crystal Palace Xmas party for the disabled kids at Selhurst. Was fortunate to meet him

He kept it simple when it was a simple game . I'm not sure what he would make of football nowadays

Fantastic commentator and presenter

Too many "and it's in there"s and "for any youngsters watching"s for me.

SIMPLY THE BEST.

One of the best

Where does the time go ??

one of the best

He was a wonderful football man described the game simply didnt try to be too clever like so many do nowadays. Much missed.

Spine tingling listening to those goals again. Perfection.

@cfarry88

Never bored you silly with pointless stats Brian and Barry Davies were the top guys

No one to compare to him since

@MemorabiliaMal Just can’t believe it has been 25 years.

It's in there! Such a memorable line

Definitely the best my favourite football commentator god bless him

One of the best. With Coleman and Davies 👌

❤️💙

I don't know what time of day he passed away but I hope he got to see the England 5-1 win over Germany. Unlikely I suppose. He was the best commentator and such an old school gent.

Fabulous commentator! When Arsenal won the European Fairs Cup in 1970 I was on the North Bank then got on the pitch. I remember yelling up to Brian Moore shouting 'We did it Brian!', He responded with a clenched fist and a broad smile!

One of the greats and not just in the world of football

@JamesAHogg2 25 years ? That’s quite incredible- what a top bloke he was

❤️🤩⚽️

People don't realise how revolutionary he and Coleman were. Both were brilliant at their jobs and sadly missed.

Along with Coleman my childhood right there in a nutshell....👌

The days when men behaved like gentlemen in tv before they became c..ts
