Revolutionising Agriculture: Empowering Farmers with Sustainable and Affordable Solar Energy!🌱 Inaugurated 2 projects with a total capacity of 6 MW Projects under the ‘Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0’ for the farmers including : ✅4 MW capacity project at Umbarda Bazaar, Washim ✅2 MW capacity project at Narangwadi, Dharashiv Also, had a nice interaction with farmers through video conference regarding this initiative, which helps go towards affordable and uninterrupted daytime electricity powered by solar energy, revolutionizing agriculture. The 16,000 MW target under this yojana will be operational by June 2026, supplying daytime electricity to 32,93,592 agricultural consumers across 8,428 channels via 2,251 substations. Previously if the Govt gave free electricity to farmers Govt borne the cost of ₹7 per unit. But now with this green energy milestone, the cost will be reduced to ₹3 per unit, significantly easing the financial burden on the Govt while ensuring access to electricity throughout the day to farmers.
