Crackdown on Quetta Sit-in Continues Once Again The peaceful sit-ins organized by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) on Saryab Road and Kanrani Road in Quetta are once again facing a crackdown. Women and children are being subjected to severe violence. It is worth noting that this is the third crackdown on the peaceful sit-in in Quetta within the past 24 hours. During the first crackdown, three people were killed, and dozens were injured. In the second, BYC’s central leader, Dr. Mahrang, along with several others, was arrested. Now, the third crackdown is underway. Human rights organizations must take urgent notice, as the lives of hundreds of people are at risk. #StopBalochGenocide

A peaceful protest rally was organized in Quetta against the enforced disappearance of BYC's Central Committee member Bebarg Baloch and illegally detained Baloch women. The district Administration and Police were ready to crackdown on protesters with batons and water canons. However, protest was conducted peacefully. The protesters were joined by families of disappeared persons and demanded the immediate, safe and unconditional release of Bebarg Baloch along with all forcibly disappeared Baloch. BYC has and would always adhere to non-violent resistance against State violence. #EndEnforcedDisappearances #StopBalochGenocide

Once again at midnight, the Sindh police violently attacked a peaceful protest organized in solidarity with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s Baloch Raaji Muchi and in opposition to the brutal crackdown on the movement. Many of the peaceful protesters including women's were arrested and detained by the police. When the protesters resisted, the police were compelled to release some of them, though more than ten protesters remain detained. The state is showing fake negotiation on one side, while harassing and arresting peaceful protesters on the other. Against these acts of the state, BYC will continue to resist using every peaceful means to ensure the safety and release of the detained protesters. #GwadarIsUnderSiege #WeSupportBalochRaajiMuchi #BalochNationalGathering

At this moment, our peaceful sit-in in Quetta, Balochistan, is facing a brutal and unjustified crackdown by state security forces. Dozens of our companions, including women, have been arrested, and their whereabouts remain unknown. The security forces are resorting to indiscriminate firing and heavy tear gas shelling, creating a suffocating atmosphere that has severely affected the health of many peaceful protesters, including elderly individuals and children present at the demonstration. Additionally, a complete communication blackout has been imposed in Quetta, with mobile networks and internet access deliberately cut off to prevent information from reaching the outside world. Security forces have also launched raids in nearby areas, arbitrarily arresting more activists and intimidating families. This violent suppression of peaceful dissent is a blatant violation of fundamental human rights. I urge all advocates of justice, human rights organizations, and the international community to take immediate notice of this brutality and hold the responsible authorities accountable. #StopBalochGenocide

BYC condemns the use of force against the family members of Zaheer Baloch and other peaceful protesters in the strongest terms. Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. The forced disappearances and genocide of the Baloch people continue, and when the families and civil society protest, they are treated with cruelty, beaten, dragged, and imprisoned. After facing severe crackdown, the protesters have reorganized and continued their protest. We urge the Baloch and Pashtun people to join the protest as soon as possible and call on the judiciary to intervene in this matter to safeguard the right to peaceful assembly of these already victimized people.

🇮🇷 Protesters in Iran burn state flags and police cars. The demonstrations have been going on for the sixth day. They are caused by a sharp collapse of the national currency and rising prices. Products have risen in price by 60-70%, and the rial exchange rate has fallen to 1.4 million per dollar. Groups armed with firearms and cold weapons have also been recorded. Trump wrote that the United States is ready to provide assistance to the demonstrators if they "continue to be killed." Iranian Foreign Minister called this statement "reckless and dangerous," since "protests are peaceful and are a legitimate right of citizens." In addition, Iran's representative to the UN sent a letter to the Security Council. He noted that in the event of a military attack by the US, Tehran's response will be "resolute and proportionate."

Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Others Arrested: Dead Bodies Seized, Women and Children Attacked in Brutal Pre-Dawn Crackdown by State Security Forces The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) had announced a sit-in yesterday in Quetta, demanding the release of its central committee member Bebarg, his brother Hammal, Dr. Ilyas, and others who have been forcibly disappeared, as well as the release of Baloch woman Saeeda and several others. From the very beginning, the state responded with violent repression. Police arrested protesters, security forces escalated their assault with baton charges, tear gas shelling, and mass arrests. Networks were shut down, and a search operation in Saryab was launched to hunt down more protesters, whereas firing took three leaves and several others injured. Then, today, at 5:30 AM, security forces carried out a brutal pre-dawn raid on the sit-in. Baloch women, children, and peaceful protesters were subjected to extreme violence. The authorities forcefully seized the dead bodies that protesters had planned to offer funeral prayers for today. BYC Organizer Dr. Mahrang Baloch, along with many others, was dragged and arrested.

Today was a hard day for us. It began at the Tbilisi City Court, where nine political prisoners were sentenced. One, Anton Chechini, received 8 years and 6 months. The other eight received either 2 years or 2 years and 6 months. As if that weren’t enough, regime police attacked supporters of the political prisoners inside the court. That was our horrible morning, gifted by the regime. It didn’t end there. After court, Tea Tsulukiani and her illegitimate commission again blamed Georgia for starting the 2008 war and for “bombing our own people.” This has been Georgian Dream’s rhetoric since 2012, and now they are saying it officially. It’s clear this will be used to arrest more people on criminal charges, just as they did at the beginning of this illegitimate commission. Naturally, pro-European protesters gathered at the Parliament to oppose everything Georgian Dream is doing to destroy Georgia’s future. The regime’s response was brutal. To hide the political prisoners’ hearings and the commission’s result, they launched terror and violence against peaceful protesters. First came a siege: police kettled us and tried to stop all movement. Protesters managed to break the siege and, in response, blocked Rustaveli Avenue, something we have done for more than 278 days, and again today, on day 279 of protest. The violence continued: police pursued people and carried out violent arrests. 23 activists were detained, including students. During this period, the regime also targeted the Iliauni Students Movement (ERA) High-ranking officials issued attacks and abusive statements against movement's members, and even went after Germany’s ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer (Peter Fischer) The protest continues. Groups are marching and blocking roads. We still don’t know where the detained protesters have been taken or how they are doing. Down with the pro-Russian regime. Freedom for all political prisoners ✊
