According to a statement from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, the U.S. has now directed 42 vessels to turn back to Iranian ports or turn away from transiting since the beginning of the U.S blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. 200 aircraft and 25 ships are involved in the operation to deny vessels access to Iranian ports, per the release.
