The dictator acknowledged the fuel crisis only after nearly a month. Even then, he insisted the shortage was “not critical.”

Putin's aide Patrushev somehow forgot to mention that the war that was supposed to end with the capture of Kyiv in "two or three days" is now in its fifth year. Patrushev commented on Polish FM Sikorski’s statement about a swift victory over Russia in the event of an attack: "Speaking of Poland’s military superiority over Russia, Sikorski apparently fails to understand that if Poland enters into military action against Russia, our country will use the full arsenal of forces and means at its disposal, and Polish statehood will cease to exist within two or three days. In the same period of time, the Russian army has advanced less than 60 km beyond the pre-war line in Donetsk Oblast, while suffering losses per square kilometer that exceed even Stalin-era records. Putin likely imagined himself as a ruler who would restore Russia within the borders of the USSR or even the Russian Empire. But in reality, drawing maps in the Kremlin and dreaming of conquering Europe is not the same as fighting with North Korean ammunition on the outskirts of Kupiansk, while littering scorched land with thousands of bodies of your own soldiers. Hundreds of thousands of people have died there, cities have been destroyed, and millions of people have been forced to leave their homes.
