I love this tragic, subtle parallel in the Godfather Trilogy. Both Vito and Michael Corleone die of old age in a garden setting, retired dons relaxing in the sun with oranges nearby. The parallel is deliberate, but the contrast reveals everything. Vito collapses while playing with his grandson, a symbol of succession and rebirth from one generation to the next, surrounded by love and innocence despite his violent world. Michael dies alone. Statement of the Philippine Coast Guard “CCG ILLEGALLY BLOCKS PCG HUMANITARIAN MISSION” Today, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) undertook a humanitarian mission involving the BRP Cabra and BRP Cape Engaño, aimed at delivering vital food and supplies to our personnel stationed aboard the BRP Teresa Magbanua, on extended patrol in Escoda Shoal. Unfortunately, during this mission, the People's Republic of China (PRC) deployed an excessive force comprised of a total of forty (40) vessels including six (6) Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) vessels, three (3) People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) warships, in an attempt to obstruct our lawful humanitarian operation. There were also thirty-one (31) Chinese Maritime Militia (CMM) Vessels in the vicinity waters of Escoda Shoal. Such actions resulted in our two 44-meter Multi-Role Response Vessels (MRRV) being unable to safely deliver essential supplies, including a special ice cream treat from the Commandant in honor of National Heroes’ Day. The PCG remains steadfast in our commitment to uphold national interests and ensure the safety and security of our waters. We urge the China Coast Guard to abide with the international law and stop deploying maritime forces that could undermine mutual respect, a universally recognized foundation for responsible and friendly relations among Coast Guards. The PCG recognizes that white hulls are unique instruments of diplomacy that promotes peace and maintain harmony and stability in the region.

She saw the different levels of Purgatory… and said even the “lightest” pain would change how you live today 🙏👇 Shortly before her death in 1607, St. Mary Magdalene de' Pazzi experienced a deep ecstasy while walking with her sisters in the convent garden. During this state of prayer, she was given a vision of Purgatory. In her own accounts, she described it as a place of purification where God’s justice and mercy work together. She understood that the souls there already belong to God. They are saved, but they are being purified from the effects of sin and any remaining attachment to it. She saw different degrees of suffering. Some souls endured intense purification for attachments to sin or for faults they treated lightly in life. Others suffered more deeply, especially for sins against charity, pride, or for neglecting their responsibilities. There were also souls who had lived good lives, but still needed to be purified from smaller imperfections before entering Heaven. The suffering was not the same for everyone, but all of it had a purpose. One moment that stayed with her was seeing the soul of a sister who had recently died. The soul was in suffering, but also filled with desire for God. There was no despair. Only longing and trust, knowing that this purification would end in Heaven. Even small sins matter more than we think. This matches what the Church teaches. Purgatory is not a second chance, but a final cleansing for those who die in God’s grace. The souls there cannot help themselves, but they can be helped by us. The Church has always taught that our prayers, sacrifices, and especially the Holy Mass can assist them. Catechism of the Catholic Church explains that this purification is necessary so that a soul can enter the full holiness of Heaven. I went to both Jasmine Crockett’s and James Talarico’s final election Eve rallies. These events could not have been more different. My experiences at both made me convinced of who was going to win tomorrow. Crockett’s event was a “Community Conversation with Congresswomen Crockett, Pressley & Grijalva” at New Faith Church. About ~100 people attended. Talarico’s event was a “Take Back Texas Tour: Rally in Houston.” About ~1,000 people attended. Crockett’s event started nearly an hour later. The pews were half full, and the energy just wasn’t there. I don’t think Crockett’s event was designed to be energetic, but it just wasn’t inspiring. The speakers and the crowd were older, and at one point, one older speaker said “Tomorrow, use Google and Social Media to get your friends to go out and vote.” What does that even mean? Some members of the media left before the event was even over. Crockett’s message was constantly negative against Republicans. There was a lot of focus on identity, too. On how it was really cool that most of the people on stage were congressWOMEN. I would say that crowd of ~100 was 90% black and skewed older On the other hand, Talarico’s event was packed. He had several speakers speak before him to rally up the crowd. The energy was there. When Talarico came on stage, everyone went crazy. I went to both Jasmine Crockett’s and James Talarico’s final election Eve rallies. These events could not have been more different. My experiences at both made me convinced of who was going to win tomorrow. Crockett’s event was a “Community Conversation with Congresswomen Crockett, Pressley & Grijalva” at New Faith Church. About ~100 people attended. Talarico’s event was a “Take Back Texas Tour: Rally in Houston.” About ~1,000 people attended. Crockett’s event started nearly an hour later. The pews were half full, and the energy just wasn’t there. I don’t think Crockett’s event was designed to be energetic, but it just wasn’t inspiring. The speakers and the crowd were older, and at one point, one older speaker said “Tomorrow, use Google and Social Media to get your friends to go out and vote.” What does that even mean? Some members of the media left before the event was even over. Crockett’s message was constantly negative against Republicans. There was a lot of focus on identity, too. On how it was really cool that most of the people on stage were congressWOMEN. I would say that crowd of ~100 was 90% black and skewed older On the other hand, Talarico’s event was packed. First off, thank you for such great support so far. The book was #1 in Poverty Studies (Amazon) and even got to the low thousands in Fiction and Literature 😊👍 which I got a kick out of...nice to have a book that isn't in the trillion ranking... I'll be continuing to promote this book as it's still new but it's fun to get back to work on the Quitturz. I hope to have that out in maybe three months. As usual, I'll be working on more than one book so I'll also be assembling Book 2 of the Al and Ivy series. That one will have more insight into the mental health issue, larger camps, and have much more Ivy as she became especially important as the series progresses. If you ever wondered what level of desperation the british press is at when it comes to seeing Prince William acknowledge Harry publicly, look no further than how they are salivating and extrapolating at a simple mention of the name "Harry" by William🤭🤦🏽‍♀️ In a new trailer for his Homeward documentary which will air this Wednesday on ITV, Prince William mentioned how his mother inspired his work on homelessness saying: "My mother took me to the Passage, she took Harry and I both there. You meet people, like I did then, who put a different perspective in your head."❤️ A beautiful quote that has now been hijacked by the press who latched onto the name "harry" mentioned publicly for the first time in 6 years. And now an olive tree somewhere seem to have lost a branch🤡 And now the ex royal butler is on TV wondering how long they have been facetiming behind doors🤡 Soon, we will hear how Harry has moved to adelaide cottage with W&C🤡 What is very interesting here, is how effective William's silence has been. By refusing to engage in any sort of way in the drama, William has starved both H&m and the british press of the drama they craved😏 The question here is Why would William airbrush Harry out of his past? He has proven he does not hold any grudge against Harry. In fact, we saw that He still has pictures of him and harry is still the brother who went to the homeless charity with Diana and William. That is an actual fact. So it would be extremely small to airbrush Harry out of a story that involved him. I was in the Oval Office today for the launch of the Invest America / Trump Accounts initiative. Here are my takeaways: 1. This program may have the most bipartisan support of anything I have ever seen. Everyone, regardless of political party, understands the power of giving young children money to compound over decades. 2. While the government and current administration should get immense credit for the program, there were many private citizens like Brad Gerstner, Michael Dell 🇺🇸 and others that persistently pursued the idea until it became reality. They quite literally changed the course of millions of lives with this idea. 3. It will quickly become a game of status for people to donate to fund the accounts. The Dell Family gave over $6 billion. SpaceX’s Gwynne Shotwell gave more than $300 million today. Brad Gerstner is adopting every child in the state of Indiana to give money to their accounts. The list goes on and on already… 4. Companies will begin making contributions core parts of their perk packages for employees. Corporations like Bank of America, JPMorgan, Robinhood and others have already announced these efforts. 5. The Oval Office is surprisingly small in size, but the historical significance of the room is palpable the second you walk into it. The President called it “the most important room in the world” today and I walked away thinking that was accurate. 6. This idea of Invest America accounts has become a magnet for the world’s most successful people. I saw Larry Fink, David Solomon, Lisa Su, and many other Fortune 500 CEOs in attendance for the Rose Garden lunch. It is hard for an idea to fail when this many people are behind it. 7. The Rose Garden was very nicely done. I had been to the White House before, but never to the Oval Office or the Rose Garden. Both seemed elevated compared to the rest of the White House and surrounding buildings. It sounds like the new ballroom will also be a modern structure that mirrors this elevated approach. 8. The staff and admin team in the White House are generous and genuine. Each person was kind, gracious, and seemed to be at the top of their game. Sometimes you go to places and are disappointed with the let down from your expectations, but this was not the case with the White House team. All professionals doing their job. 9. The media loves Trump way more than they let on publicly. Many of the mainstream hosts and anchors were joking around with him like it is one big club, while simultaneously laughing at his jokes and being much more friendly than I expected. He seems to be good for their business, so it makes sense why the public narrative and private interactions don’t appear to match. 10. I never thought I would see a day where NYSE 🏛 and Nasdaq collaborated on an event like this, including the ringing of both bells by one person at the same time. I guess anything is possible if kids are involved. Overall, this was an awesome experience. I know some people like this administration and some people don’t. I learned from Kevin O'Leary aka Mr. Wonderful to focus on policies, not politicians. And the Invest America accounts are objectively a great idea that will hopefully spread like wildfire in the years to come.
