The sixth batch of Kurdish volunteers came to northern Syria (Rojava) in response of the mobilization call from the AANES to defend Kurds in Syria from the offensives of Damascus. One Kurd from Slemani said: "It is a great honor to become a fighter for the Kurdish people in Rojava, because Kurdistan is one, and we all love Rojava and we must win there" (ANHA)

TODAY at the The White House, a massive crowd of Kurdish-Americans and their allies raised their voices to say, “President Trump, don’t betray the Kurds!” They were joined by Americans, Syriac Christians, Alaawites, and even Arabs who are calling on the US to stop Damascus from bombing the democratic, autonomous region of Northeast Syria / Rojava. We stood in freezing temperatures to say: Stop the Bombs! Biji Rojava! Biji Berxwedan Sêxmeqsûd! We need Damascus to stop shelling the civilian villages around Deir Hafer, allow humanitarian aid, and protect innocent lives.

This video is from a charity group affiliated with the Kurdistan Islamic Union, a Muslim Brotherhood-aligned group. Notably, the narrator says, “We are now in Rojhelat, in the eastern part of our homeland,” underscoring that terms such as Rojhelat and Rojava, meaning eastern and western Kurdistan, are not used only by nationalist Kurds but are common across much of Kurdish society. The charity group says it plans to distribute more than 100 aid baskets a day for as long as it remains there, with each basket containing meat, rice, oil, and other basic necessities.
