My cat had FIP as a baby almost 4 years ago. He has done great ever since we went through the treatment. I have no clue if this information is pertinent, but I really struggled at the time wondering if I was doing the right thing for him. Since FIP is being spoken about I thought I’d mention this for anyone who wants to know if it’s worth the money and effort.

So happy cancer is ruled out. ☺️ Brix has some feisty in him, which is a really good sign! Hope can be such a fragile thing when you’re in the middle of the storm, but sometimes it’s also what carries us through. My little boy kitty had PU surgery when he was barely over a year old. The vet staff were all impressed with how he greeted me when I came to visit. Brix is reminding me of those greetings here. I hope he keeps going in the right direction to go home. ❤️

After despair and sadness early this week we have great news. Brix is off the O2 chamber, and doing amazing. The fluid has drained from his chest and abdomen. He is hungry and feisty. It’s hard to explain the medical stuff here but as simply put as possible- Brix is on antivirals for FIP- though he doesn’t present correctly for it. Brix is going for an echocardiogram tomorrow for his heart as congenital heart disease is possible. He is still a mystery, but he’s so much better.

We visited Brix this morning and chatted with the vet. He took baby steps in the right direction overnight, and was stable enough to go outside his incubator for a full checkup. That tuckered him out because he wanted to escape. Also he hates his leg wrap thing now that he has the energy to fight. They asked if we could try feeding him, and Brix was starving! So, another good sign. He’s moving in the right direction.
