Wild Rift matchmaking is at an all-time low. Wild Rift is the only game that matches the rank 3 (top 0.000001%) player with top 15% players. Master tier in Wild Rift is top 15% of players btw. Climbing has become extremely easy for those who spam games, due to the loss shields you gain from playing a lot. There are many examples of 48% winrate Master+ players with 1,000+ games. So even these top 15% players should be even lower in ranking. Their skill level is nowhere near the elo that they are in. This is not only an issue in Master+ but in every elo. PapaSmoothie incentivize players to queue up for Legendary Queue (there hasn't been a single legend player in the last few seasons in NA and EU) or fix normal ranked. I'm surprised this is not a top priority considering how many players quit the game over the matchmaking. My Youtube comments, stream chat, discord server, and X mentions are flooded with complaints about the matchmaking.

How can players make a big jump next year?!?! For High School and College players… they all put in work with their coaches. Most of them have a trainer they see to put in work. So what is the separator? 1. Are you working on the right things with your coaches that are going to help you be a better player working your team and overall 2. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU PUT IN THE GYM ON YOUR OWN. This is a HUGE SEPARATOR because this time isn’t dependent on anyone and is unlimited in how much you do. Almost every player I’ve worked with that has made a BIG JUMP has put in extra time on their own. It’s not only because of the work, but it also helps players understand their game better and gives them a bigger investment in their development. As a player you should assess that part of your development today!

Call of Duty players always acted like COD was a competitive game when it was just digital airsoft with guns that all feel the same, especially in "hardcore mode." Meanwhile, Halo was treated as a "casual" game, even though any decent Halo player would easily shit on COD players while the reverse wasn't true at all. In terms of mechanical skill, Halo just objectively has more going on, more moment-to-moment decisions to make, and a way higher skill ceiling than COD — much more thought is given to movement tech, positioning, choice of weapon, mind games, etc. Halo's higher average TTK requires the use of more advanced tactics to outplay your opponent. But more than that, Halo also gives much more power to the individual player by allowing to achieve faster kill times by being more accurate — because the weapons are generally harder to use than in COD, this means that kill times vary a lot with player skill. So the better player will simply kill faster, all else being equal. But in COD, all the guns are so stupidly easy to use that there's almost no variance in kill times, boiling the game down to the "I saw you first" cliche, especially in the so-called "hardcore" mode, which actually just rewards having faster reflexes over any other aspect of player skill. Counter Strike hacking is one of my guilty pleasures. This is a video of an AI tool built into one of the most popular HvH cheats on the market. HvH (Hack vs. Hack) is a game mode where everyone in the lobby is cheating. “If everyone is cheating, then how is it fun?” The game becomes something entirely different in this mode. Instead of focusing on physical reaction time, aim, and movement skills, players must concentrate on the quality of their cheats compared to those used by their opponents. The game essentially turns into a sandbox for software optimization, where cheaters compete against each other to see who has the better-written code and configuration. Players must use every tool available to keep up with everyone else in the scene. My favorite cheat, Anti-Aim (AA), is used to help protect players from getting shot by cleverly exploiting the game mechanics to fake the angle of their hitbox. It works by choking abs yaw packets to exploit a coding error in the game, causing your model’s position to appear bugged to other players. The server processes each command sent by the client in the order it receives them, then it updates animations for each command. After this, the server takes the latest information it has and sends it to other players. If you choke packets, you will essentially send all of your choked commands at the same time. Again, the server will look at what’s latest and send that to other players. Now, you should see the issue clearly: the client is missing loads of information and will start updating animations with incorrect information. Counter Strike hacking is one of my guilty pleasures. This is a video of an AI tool built into one of the most popular HvH cheats on the market. HvH (Hack vs. Hack) is a game mode where everyone in the lobby is cheating. “If everyone is cheating, then how is it fun?” The game becomes something entirely different in this mode. Instead of focusing on physical reaction time, aim, and movement skills, players must concentrate on the quality of their cheats compared to those used by their opponents. The game essentially turns into a sandbox for software optimization, where cheaters compete against each other to see who has the better-written code and configuration. Players must use every tool available to keep up with everyone else in the scene. My favorite cheat, Anti-Aim (AA), is used to help protect players from getting shot by cleverly exploiting the game mechanics to fake the angle of their hitbox. It works by choking abs yaw packets to exploit a coding error in the game, causing your model’s position to appear bugged to other players. The server processes each command sent by the client in the order it receives them, then it updates animations for each command. After this, the server takes the latest information it has and sends it to other players. If you choke packets, you will essentially send all of your choked commands at the same time. Again, the server will look at what’s latest and send that to other players. Now, you should see the issue clearly: the client is missing loads of information and will start updating animations with incorrect information.
