Today we are introducing Remote Control. Your Droids run on a persistent self-managed remote machine, scoped to an individual user or service.

Remote Control lets you run Droids on any machine (a cloud VM, your workstation, that old Mac Mini you bought back in November), connect it to Factory, and work with it remotely.

Droids on remote controlled machines can seamlessly work with repositories, dependencies, and services, take advantage of any tokens or authentication you provide it, and read and write durable context to the device that can last across sessions. Get started with Remote Control in Factory today.

been doing SSH + Computer Use for my acceptance tests, gonna try this

@matanSF surge went hard 😮💨

When you're 10 years behind the competition but still expect users to be impressed by a “new” feature they've already been using elsewhere for years, as if finally catching up were some kind of major breakthrough worth getting excited about. 🫤

That's great! How's it different than the previous remote control integration? I had to drop droid when the old remote system was super buggy but looking forward to trying the new one.

@droid mobile app coming soon?? 👀

I run agents on a persistent machine too, around the clock, with scheduled jobs. What actually broke was credential scope, not the model: one agent could read mail it had no business reading. Per user and per service scoping is the feature I needed.

Will there be a ios app later?

但是云电脑的使用时间限制真的太少了,一个月 80h,用到一半工作停了迁移特别麻烦😭

I created my own Android Client to be able to use Droid remote on my Samsung. Now you dropped this, i need to try it. 😄

Is it available on the free plan?
