There is a malignant symbiosis between left-wing politicians associated with the São Paulo Forum (FSP), Latin American drug cartels, powers such as China, Russia, and Iran, and terrorist groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al-Qaeda. There is a well-documented "nexus" between transnational organized crime and terrorism in Latin America, where cartels like Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) in Brazil, Los Zetas in Mexico, and Cartel de los Soles in Venezuela benefit from partnerships with terrorist groups. Terrorist groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, Al-Qaeda, and others are present in Latin America. For example, Hezbollah (supported by Iran) has operated in the Tri-Border Area (Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay) since the 1980s, involved in drug trafficking, money laundering, and financing terrorism. It operates in partnership with cartels and has a presence in countries such as Brazil, Paraguay, and Venezuela. Hamas, on the other hand, receives Iranian support but has limited activity in the region. Al-Qaeda has a historical presence in the Tri-Border Area, with ties to financiers and cartels. Reports indicate that Hezbollah shares terrorist techniques with Latin American cartels and profits from the trade of South American cocaine to Europe and the Middle East. The Argument of Non-Compliance with Fundamental Precept (ADPF) 635, called the "ADPF of the Favelas," was filed in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) in November 2019 by the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB). Since June 2020, restrictive measures on police actions have been established by ministers at the instigation of left-wing parties and NGOs linked to human rights. At least one of these NGOs, in fact, has close ties to organized crime leaders. This creation of a police exclusion zone in the city of Rio de Janeiro has allowed Brazilian cartels to receive and intensify military and guerrilla training, according to some journalists, police sources, and public security experts. Venezuela, under Chavez and Maduro (members of the FSP), is identified as a hub for this convergence, with accusations that the regime facilitates drug trafficking to finance terrorist allies and leftist politicians. Former Venezuelan General Hugo "El Pollo" Carvajal is a living witness to this and is cooperating with the American justice system. Journalists @CristinaSegui @elisarobsondf @lcoutinho @RafaelFontana @allanconta5 have been denouncing these spurious relationships for over a decade. In the past, newspapers and magazines like @VEJA @gazetadopovo @folha @Estadao @JornalOGlobo also exposed this symbiosis, however, with the passing of years, and the successive PT (Workers' Party) administrations, they fell silent or turned a blind eye. Al-Qaeda and Hamas have a smaller presence, but there are mentions of training and mutual assistance networks in the region. China, Russia, and Iran form alliances with leftist governments in Latin America, filling vacuums left by the US. Iran finances Hezbollah in the region to circumvent sanctions and promote anti-Western influence. There are ties with Venezuela, including issuing visas to Hezbollah members and joint training. Iran uses the region for money laundering and planning attacks, such as the bombings in Argentina in the 1990s. Russia provides weapons, investments, and nuclear support to countries like Venezuela and Bolivia, aligned with the FSP. It acts as a counterweight to the US, with state media propagating pro-left narratives. There are indications of collaboration in destabilization, but less direct involvement with cartels. China apparently focuses its economic investments (such as in Venezuela, Bolivia, and Brazil) on sensitive strategic sectors (energy, infrastructure, transportation, sanitation, etc.), and is accused of using its economic power to dominate nations and expand its influence. It indirectly benefits from alliances with regimes that tolerate organized crime and terrorism. The conclusion: Brazil, unfortunately, is a narco-state. Reality prevails. Cartels and organized crime are present in the Judiciary, the Executive, the Legislative, the police forces, the public prosecutor's office, the financial system, and perhaps even the military.
