Company tearsheet: enter a company and get a brief with the business summary, key metrics, recent news, and sources.

Annotated stock chart: enter a ticker and get a chart marked up with relevant events: earnings, news, product launches, market moves, or other catalysts.

Sourcing screen: enter target criteria and get a screened company list, including why each company matches and what signals were used.

Every output is traceable. Computer shows where the data came from and links directly to the source behind key numbers. Click any citation or hyperlinked number to open the underlying SEC filing, earnings transcript, market data page, or licensed source.

Claude launched a update for finance control so Perplexity had to 😂

didn't claude literally launch this like 15 mins ago

Another feature that feels pretty useless right now 🤷🏻 If AI makes a mistake in a tearsheet or a valuation model, who’s accountable? Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, and S&P Global already have their own AI tools.. and decades of trust behind them. Most workflows are already built into Excel + Bloomberg and internal systems. and rebuilding them is expensive and risky.

How many times are they launching perplexity computer? 🤔

@PPLXfinance Computer is changing the game when it comes to personal and professional finance. Literally the best AI tool available for real world finance use

Perplexity didn’t just ship a feature. It just ate half of finance workflows. Licensed data + 35 repeatable analyst tasks baked in = less Excel, fewer junior roles, faster decisions. This isn’t a tool upgrade. It’s headcount compression disguised as productivity.

I've the computer but the computer token burn is too high pro pro tier. With every prompt, I'm adding $10 and the application I'm building is moderately complex. Claude is much more effecient. This will be a deterent to a lot as I myself am thinking about moving to Claude code/co-work instead.

How about personal finance that combines quickbooks functionality with “drop all your financial documents, emails, bank/CC statements and receipts into this folder and we’ll figure it out” ease of use?

Just one more re-release bro, just announce it one more time I'm sure someone will finally use it

Bravo @jeffgrimes9! Insane how quickly you all are making a run for Bloomberg and becoming an absolute powerhouse for financial tools. Only a matter of time before we get an announcement that a major player begins using Perplexity heavily!

Who do I talk to, to give Perplexity Computer a wallet?

Perplexity Computer for Professional Finance isn’t just another AI layer on the Bloomberg Terminal — it’s the quiet re-architecture of how capital itself is fusing licensed, premium datasets (Morningstar, PitchBook, Daloopa, Carbon Arc) with 35 purpose-built, repeatable analyst workflows and end-to-end traceability to primary sources, you’ve done something profound: you’ve turned the most tedious, high-stakes cognitive labor in finance into a transparent, verifiable reasoning engine.Analysts are no longer data janitors. They become strategic synthesizers — the human judgment layer that actually moves markets. This is what “augmented intelligence” was always meant to look like. Elegant. Defensible. Transformative.Bravo, @perplexity_ai . The next era of professional finance just got its operating system.

Copying everything straight from Anthrophic...

Plus, 35 pre-built workflows to automate the grind: weekly comps, scenario modeling, earnings recaps. Analysts, imagine slashing hours on repetitive Excel marathons.

If this kills the weekly copy/paste grind, finance teams will actually use it!

Finance teams just got a cheat code. Perplexity Computer for Professional Finance plugs directly into Morningstar, PitchBook & more plus 35 workflows for the stuff analysts repeat every week. Less grunt work. More actual thinking.

Licensed feeds won't fix broken recons. Real value is automating scrubbing, not adding tabs.

The real AI shift in finance is automating the boring loops analysts repeat every single week.

Claude launched this so Perplexity also did same.

bro it's about time someone streamlined financial tasks with AI

It’s pronounced fah-nance

Perplexity for companies which work with data is here

Automating repetitive workflows like tearsheets and stock charts saves analysts hours of manual data entry every single week. It allows the team to focus their energy on strategy and client advice rather than manual research.

@PPLXfinance Perplexity is the new Bloomberg terminal 🔥

@grok how is this different than what Claude released? It even looks like they used Claude's fonts. Is it the same as Claude and just repackaged?

Perplexity is going straight after the weekly analyst grind. Data access + workflow automation could be a serious unlock for finance teams.

two years adjacent to ib and i can tell you the 2am tearsheets aren't a bug, they're a filter. thirty five workflows is nice but the industry quietly needs the grunt work to justify the pyramid.

Perplexity broke a record 3 Big successes in 24 Hrs. Top Spot Perplexity Got 3 today It's now perplexity grok deepseek thats the crew. Bravo Perplexity 🫵 were Awesome today

The key shift is not “AI search for finance.” It is licensed data plus repeatable analyst workflows in the same interface. A junior banker does not need another chatbot. They need the 20 recurring tasks that currently sit across SEC filings, CapIQ/Bloomberg/PitchBook, Excel, internal templates, and MD review loops. If Perplexity can make even 30-40% of that workflow traceable and repeatable, the wedge is not search. It is analyst seat replacement at the edge of the terminal stack.

@grok how many times has Perplexity launched “Perplexity Computer”

Both of these tweets were posted at the same time today… are they the same company?😭

Guess you didn’t get the message nobody cares cuz Claude did this and u just a shitty middleware

Claude releases Claude finance now perplexity also
