Last week I posted a novel-length announcement in the ZA Discord server. I spoke about a business pivot, and a refocus of our vision. I spoke about getting back to what made our community so special in the first place: educational content, and a community of learners working together to navigate a difficult-to-navigate space, together. Education should be as free as possible for as many as possible for as long as possible. We have two more exclusive tiers, for those wanting different tiers of access and perks. Reality: They cleared part of it by granting more claims. The appeals backlog has nearly doubled. He claims NHS waiting lists are the lowest in three-and-a-half years. Reality: 7.1 million people are still waiting, higher than 2010 and 2019. Your mother's hip replacement is still delayed. Your child's mental health referral is still ignored. He claims free school meals, breakfast clubs and childcare. Reality: Paid for by our higher taxes. Nothing is free. While we're paying higher taxes and higher bills, they're sitting behind closed doors working out how to take even more from us. At the same time, billions are being sent overseas to fill other people's bank accounts and foreign projects. He's very proud. We're the ones paying for it.
