I made a mistake in the LegendList comparison which made FlashList look worse than it is 🤦. But another mistake made LegendList look worse than it is too 😂. And I did another round of optimizing today, so it's still looking pretty good!

a lot of people didn’t seem to believe that my C engine is 14x faster than Unity on the web. so I made the demo available online, link in the 🧵 the Unity project is on github, I’m still on the fence whether I’ll post the C code or not, maybe under CC non-commercial?

Shopify is building the foundation for agentic commerce. Universal Commerce Protocol, which we co-developed with Google, is now live. UCP will make it faster for agents and retailers to integrate. It’s open by default, so platforms and agents can use UCP to start transacting with any merchant. Major retailers are already using it. Agents can handle everything from discovery to fulfillment, and support things like discounts, subscriptions, and loyalty programs. We’ve accounted for all types of commerce.

sometimes a vibecoded visual generator isn't a deliverable for clients; it's to help me think and explore faster. i wanted to try a graphic element today for a brand identity i'm designing: colored rays, with progressive blur. described it to Claude, pasted in some image references, had a minitool in a minute. then i just played with it: spacing, color, falloff, blur, grain... i could've made this manually, but it's a much faster way to explore and iterate early in the creative process — and honestly, sometimes stumble into a happy accident.
