I trust you all remember the MLK50 conference? That event was sponsored by the ERLC and by TGC. Still with me? Remember that one? And to date, as far as I know, these organizations have not apologized for any of that business. So the thought experiment is this. What if we were to survey all the speakers at that conference in order to ask them what they would think of a huge evangelical conference, held on the 50th anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s death, commemorating his life and contribution to our cultural life? After speaking to the commissioner of police, lagos state, we had a press conference wherein we addressed several issues as it relates to this protest. In our address, we mentioned that the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command have ordered the immediate release of the protesters who were arrested and detained in Panti, we also spoke about the peaceful protest and the conduct of the enforcement officers. In the press briefing, we assured protesters that our group of lawyers are willing and ready to freely secure the release of whoever is arrested in lagos state. 🚨An Anti-ICE Gestapo conspired to impede our right to move freely on public property at an ICE Out protest in Philadelphia. When we arrived at the protest happening at City Hall, two men wearing armbands approached us. One claimed to have “security clearances” to keep me from entering the protest, which was being held on public property. This is the consequence of saying “It is illegal to go to war against the cartel” when you say that, the people are sick and tired of the exacerbated violence and cartel activity around the country. We were in the front lines, the whole time, and I can tell you, of course, like every protest they were infiltrated individuals, but a lot of these young kids they were yelling that they do not want to live in a narco government. And that they are sick and tired of a narco president. Those were their claims every single moment of this protest. Earlier today, our officers who went to remove an illegal structure that was blocking a public road were violently attacked and beaten by mobilized goons behaving like criminals. As a result, four of our officers are currently being treated in hospital after sustaining serious head injuries. This kind of barbaric act is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Let it also go on record that order and dignity cannot be compromised. Whenever we respond to complaints from members of the public, the same public must not turn against the very officers mandated to protect and serve them. We cannot live in a county where everyone believes the law should bend to their will. Let it be clearly understood assaulting county officers on duty is a grave offence, and we shall ensure that those who mobilized, aided, or participated in this attack are held fully accountable before the law. I’m on my way home from my first (and probably only) home school convention of the year, the Southeast Homeschool Expo in Atlanta. And it reminded me of everything that is good and also everything that is frustrating about home school conventions. Let me just start by saying that the conference organizers were hospitable, competent, and doing their best under challenging conditions (more about that shortly). Nothing that I say here is any reflection on our hosts. I’m grateful that they invited us, and thankful that they did everything possible to make this a good experience. Before the pandemic, I had already begun to cut down on my conference travel. Conferences are just exhausting, even when everything goes well, and I wanted to put that energy towards writing instead. Then, of course, the conferences shut down for a while. We did several online events, which had a whole different energy but also allowed us to keep in touch with our customers. As a bonus, one of our guests was the wonderful Kate Snow, and that contact led us to publish her crazy popular Math With Confidence series. When the conferences started up again, they were much smaller and I honestly thought that, given how easy it is to find information, opinions, and books online, that they’d never get back to their former size. But they do seem to be growing again. The SE Expo is certainly bigger than it was a few years ago (I’d be interested to hear how your local convention is faring). So, with some reluctance, because of that whole energy thing, I started attending a few conventions again. Here’s the good: Nothing replaces face to face contact and the ability to put your hands on books before you buy them. The workshops this weekend were a much-appreciated chance to actually talk to the parents who are using our books—and, I hope, a chance for them to hear some wisdom from someone who’s further along the road than they are. Our booth gave us the opportunity to show our resources to folks who haven’t seen them before. An online presence is important, but it’s just not quite the same. Here’s the frustrating: Conferences are stupidly expensive for exhibitors. Hotel rates are high and hotels charge extra fees for EVERYTHING—receiving books, tables, power, even chairs to put at your booth. And those costs have gone up, and up, and up. By the time we ship or drive books, put up staff, and pay fees, we lose money at every single conference we attend. We pin our hopes on the ripple effect of customers discovering our work for the first time and sharing it with others. And conference hotels are, almost without exception, inconvenient and noisy. The Waverly Renaissance in Atlanta was no exception. Food was mediocre and cost twice as much as it should. Construction complications meant that our workshops were all located in little curtained booths off the main hall, so that it was almost impossible to make myself heard over the din from the exhibit area. AND the conference had scheduled an massive four-day youth wrestling tournament in the adjacent space, so I also had to contend with shouts, referee whistles, and a huge crowd of junior wrestlers clogging up the halls right outside the Expo. It was a tremendous amount of work and expense. Does it pay off in terms of making contact with parents? To be honest, I’m still on the fence. But as always, I’m interested in hearing your thoughts.

Here is another snippet of my conversation with Ryan James Girdusky. There is a societal cost to enforcing the law and that cost is paid by society through danger to both our law enforcement officers and our civilians. This cost is an inevitability built it to the reality of enforcement and human nature. But America’s officers are very well trained and considering the size of our country and the number of officers or civilians lost during enforcement — we’re very successful at keeping this cost to a minimum. American law enforcement leaders are dedicated to a constant and continuing effort to minimize risks to both officers and civilians. Every life lost in an enforcement operation becomes a learning experience for officers throughout the country. Our law enforcement leaders have done a tremendous job developing training and strategies that have rendered use-of-force tragedies into anomalies. Americans should be very proud of where we are today as far as training of our officers.

What's the difference between Israel experimenting on millions of their own citizens and killing thousands of them with forceful coercion techniques, and them bombing a hospital in Gaza killing 500? or letting Hamas kill their people as justification for the war and perpetuation of more death. If we just go by the numbers, shouldn't we all be far more outraged about the vaccine? That death toll is easily over a million globally now, perhaps even tens of millions. Why should I trust the government that did this to their own people? Why should I listen to any government that did this to their people? It's willful murder no matter how you spin it, and we should all know by now that the denial of such evils by all the authorities that people are still clinging to for the truth, or the ignorance/negligence excuse that they didn't know, is a complete and utter BS lie. They had a clear purpose with the vaccines and knew exactly what they were doing, just as they have a clear purpose now with war and propaganda that comes with it. Depopulation.

As we approach TPUSA’s annual women’s conference this week, I’ve been going through my husband’s past speeches from the same event that he loved so much. I’m moved, as always, by his unwavering dedication to free speech. He knew it was the bedrock of our great country. “We have a responsibility as free speech advocates to be the ambassadors of decency and respect. 60 years ago, Ronald Reagan gave Americans a warning that has stood the test of time. This is from Reagan's "Time for Choosing" speech: "If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth. And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except to sovereign people, is still the newest and most unique idea in all the long history of man's relation to man. This is the issue of this election. Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves." "You and I are told increasingly that we have to choose between a left or right, but I would like to suggest that there is no such thing as a left or right. This is the United Nations now! The organization responsible for ensuring human rights! I received an invitation to attend this conference and I declined it after knowing that the people who are deeply complicit in the genocide in Lebanon and Palestine, killing civilians using AI technologies are being given the opportunity to brag about this in public using UN stage! I received an invitation to attend this conference and I declined it after knowing that the people who are deeply complicit in the genocide in Lebanon and Palestine, killing civilians using AI technologies are being given the opportunity to brag about this in public using UN stage! The corner-stone of the monument was laid by a President of the United States elevated to his position by the votes of the party which had chiefly prided itself upon sustaining the war for the Union, and who, while Secretary of War, had himself given authority to erect it. I'm intrigued by Ant Middleton standing to be Mayor of London. As I explain below, one of the things that has led to so much of the crime and disorder in our towns and cities is the disappearance of the Non-Commissioned Officer in public life. When I was growing up, almost every town had a police Sergeant, usually a man who had been a Sergeant Major in the armed forces. They were tough and knew how to command respect, but not domineering. They were the kinds of men that Rudyard Kipling respected and wrote so much about. This figure has been shouldered out of our society. Bringing it back would do much to restore a sense of order and civility to our streets.

For those who contest our right to an independent state in our land, what are they proposing? A one-state solution between the river and the sea, with equal rights for all, with everyone enjoying the right to vote and able to exercise their political and human rights? I doubt that is their intention given the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. So what are they proposing? There are only three options left: genocide, ethnic cleansing, or apartheid, or a combination of all three. The destruction and removal of a nation by force and the continued subjugation of a people. This is horrible and unacceptable and it is what we are witnessing before our very eyes.

On the last day of our pilgrimage in the Holy Land, praying with Patriarch Theophilos III and Archbishop Hosam in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was the most profound gift. Jerusalem is the city from which the Gospel first went out into the world, and to which our Lord will one day return. The Churches of this holy city are custodians of a living Christian presence in the very place where the foundations of our faith were laid. My prayer is that, by God’s grace, we may continue to grow together into that unity for which Christ prayed. That we may bear witness together to the hope of the Gospel. And that we may offer to this city, to the Holy Land, and to the world, a foretaste of the peace of God’s coming Kingdom. Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the Christians of the Holy Land.

The group then called for a walk-out, leading to the room quickly emptying and everyone spontaneously assembling outside to discuss real solutions and how we can come together for international #ClimateJustice! Besides the World Bank, major German financial institutions such as the Bundesbank (whose President is Germany´s representative at the IMF), and BMZ (whose Minister is Germany´s representative at the World Bank) were also part of the panel.
