Today would be a good day to cancel your Washington Post subscription. The Washington Post will not make an endorsement in the 2024 presidential election: Democracy versus Fascism & they don't want to weigh in after 36 yrs despite their Democracy Dies in Darkness slogan

WaPo's opinion editor approved a Harris endorsement. A week later, the publisher killed it. Ian Bassin, a democracy expert, calls these moves “anticipatory obedience”: fear by owners that if Trump wins he could take vengeance on companies that cross him.

@wapo If you used a credit card, you may be able to get a refund through your bank.

@wapo WAKE UP, PEOPLE. Choosing not to stand for anything IS taking a side. Maybe democracy isn’t about silence but about shedding light—especially when the stakes are high.

@wapo Never thought I would cancel my two favorite news publications in the same week after the bullshit pulled by the owner of the LA Times but, here we are. See you on the other side, WaPo. History will not be kind to your cowardice.

@wapo I canceled several years ago. Bezos is a greedy ass. Another billionaire who could do so much good in the world but chooses to satisfy his own greedy desires with ostentatious yachts, clocks in mountains, space tourism. Meanwhile his ex is making the world a better place!

@wapo The tide is turning. Those vicious outfits are smart enough to see where things are going, i.e., all this lying and fear mongering about democracy vs fascism is running out. Sorry you are still stuck in that lane.%
