In a speech delivered in 1995, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said exactly the following; “Let’s not deceive ourselves. If necessary, in the course of this struggle, if my chain of command tells me, ‘You will wear a priest’s robe,’ I will put on that robe and go carry out my mission dressed that way. Why..? Because our struggle is no ordinary struggle. That’s why…” In today’s geopolitical climate, we need to remember these words and remind others of them. Erdogan is transferring his capital to the United Kingdom, Italy, and the United States through companies owned by his family. He is establishing organizational networks and conducting lobbying activities in these countries. His own cousin, Halil Mutlu, is at the forefront of his political activities in the United States. Together with the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR, which is affiliated with it, they are attempting to exert influence over American politics. They are providing support to political candidates aligned with their interests. The real issue is not merely Erdogan’s activities abroad. It is how political Islamist movements organize themselves within Western democracies, how they are financed, and what political objectives they pursue. The Western world must examine the potential discrepancies between political Islamist movements’ rhetoric toward the West and their actual political objectives, using concrete evidence and financial connections. Those words spoken by Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 1995 shed light on what is happening today and are essential to fully understanding the present… #RecepTayyipErdogan #PoliticalIslam #MuslimBrotherhood #CAIR #HalilMutlu #USPolitics #ForeignInfluence #Lobbying #Transparency #Turkey #england #unitedkingdom #italy #usa #unitedstates #erdogan #softpower #hamas #AlQaeda #AlQaida #ElKaide
