Absolutely right. I have been to certain rural areas & villages with abject poverty. For them, as long as they can wake up to get what to eat (subsistence farming), that's it. They can't imagine having a car or being in a better house beyond their dilapidated huts.

This here is why we are stuck with the old guy and his goons at plot 1. Most Ugandans have not known or seen better than the nonsense he has sold to us. Hence the tendency of " the devil you know bla bla bla" wagwez among most impoverished youth and our pitiful parents.

Exposure is the new key to success.

100% true, and many times I wished my dad had invested in our exposure. He had the capacity when we were young. Exposure offers a new, different world and widens your mind a lot. I tell many people that at least leave Uganda for a few days and go to Nairobi and then come back.
