Today’s rap is straight up garbage and this is why😈💯

In reference to its current form 🤔

Rap was co-opted. It went from an artistic outlet for the expression of increasingly conscious people (Public Enemy, Arrested Development, Digable Planets) to a corporate mind control apparatus glorifying criminality, materialism, nihilism and violence.

The dismantling of these POSITIVE/BLACK POWER RAPPERS KSR1, NAS, QUEEN LATIFA, PUBLIC ENEMY & RUN DMC was strategically planned & implemented!! The powers that be DON'T WANT positive feel good Blacks to aspire & that's what was happening...they changed the music they change the people! It worked.

He contradicts himself. He says the positive intelligent rap was moving without radio play, but then and goes and says record companies deliberately started hand picking gangster rap. If it was moving without radio why does it matter who gets hand picked for radio play? Could it be the positive rap was less enjoyable than negative rap was? I think so.

Knowledge Is King is an all time great album, but my favorite Moe Dee album is How Ya Like Me Now 🫡
