Tom Cruise flipped his entire image upside down with Collateral and gave us one of the best villain performances of the 2000s.

No offence, but I think this film was the best Tom Cruise could achieve!

He's very good in this, but ending doesn't work, and I gave up when his phone ran out of charge at the most crucial moment in the film. Really, is that the best the scriptwriter could do?

Three movies completely switched me around Tom Cruise: Collateral, Edge of Tomorrow, and Thunder Tropic. He is an insanely good actor.

Tom Cruise in Collateral (2004) hits differently because it’s his coldest villain. Less theatrical than Interview with the Vampire, more human, more terrifying. Just a man, a mission, and zero emotion. One of his most unsettling performances.

Collateral gave us a Tom Cruise villain so sharp and charismatic, you almost want him to win.

Tom Cruise delivered one of his most underrated performances in Collateral—cold, controlled, unforgettable. Hard to believe it wasn’t even nominated.

One year from now, Tom Cruise might be in a position to finally win the #Oscar for Best Actor. Cruise’s upcoming release Digger is said to be one of his most audacious performances. When Cruise wants to be, he’s as good of a dramatic actor in Hollywood. For example - Collateral.

Vincent’s nightclub rampage in COLLATERAL (2004) is Michael Mann at his absolute best. The precision, the lighting, and the way Tom Cruise moves through the chaos make it one of the coldest action sequences ever filmed.

Eyes Wide Shut (1999) deserves to be mentioned whenever Tom Cruise’s best performances come up. Cruise quietly gives one of the most vulnerable performances of his career. It’s the role people should talk about a lot more.

Vincent in Collateral (2004) is still one of the coolest things Tom Cruise has ever done. Nobody really imagined Cruise playing a cold, detached hitman at the time, which is exactly why the performance hits so hard. He absolutely nailed the villain role.

Danielle Deadwyler gave hands down one of the best performances of the year; a haunting, stunning and emotionally complex portrayal of grief, loss and resilience. She deserved better.
