RIP Val Kilmer, 65. Played so many great roles but for me, he will always be Iceman. The way Tom Cruise got him back for the Top Gun sequel, knowing how ill he was, was incredibly poignant and brought a tear to my eye in the cinema.

Seeing Top Gun & then Maverick immediately after yesterday at The Grove was an experience I’ll never forget. The ability to see one just minutes after the other- in IMAX- had such a profound effect on me. Tom Cruise & Val Kilmer were each so damn good in both films. Cinema lives.
