Rebecca Ferguson couldn’t believe what Tom Cruise had her do on her first day of Mission: Impossible Rebecca Ferguson: Well, I didn’t really know what I was saying “yes” to! I don’t really know how these films were made. Then the first day of shooting… Tom, what did we do? Tom Cruise: We jumped off a building. Rebecca Ferguson: Yeah. First day of shooting. Graham Norton: I think we’ve got a picture of you Rebecca Ferguson: That’s me swearing and shouting the naughtiest words ever Tom Cruise: In my ear. Rebecca Ferguson: In your ear. “Oh, I’m so sorry… swear, swear, swear… did I say that? I’m so sorry, I apologize.” Rebecca Ferguson: And then we jump off, and he just looks at me in that Tom Cruise kind of way, and he goes, “Welcome to Mission.” Tom Cruise: I don’t remember saying that! I do not remember saying that! No way! That’s way too cheesy! Henry Cavill: You said it to all of us.

This why Tom Cruise gets paid the big bucks!” The cast of Mission: Impossible reacts to his most painful stunt injury. Graham Norton: You’ve been filming for nearly a year, so you must be almost finished, right? Tom Cruise: We had to shut down because I broke my ankle, but we’re about six weeks away. It’s still broken, but we have a release date so we have to keep going! Graham Norton: It’s nuts that you’re running on it! Everyone thought you’d break a jaw hitting that wall. How did you break an ankle? Tom Cruise: Hitting the wall wasn't the mistake that was the stunt! I was supposed to hit the side of the wall, climb up, and run past camera.
