Tonight in Tel Aviv, in another casual hate crime, an Arab-owned car wash was attacked by a mob of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, who chanted "Death to Arabs," and threw objects at the owner and his workers. The owner told Haaretz: "I tried to escape in a car, but a policeman who was there said that if I moved, he would shoot me because it would be a terrorist car ramming. He just stood there and let the fans beat us up."

It stood for 28 years before falling on November 9, 1989. German Chancellor Merz: "65 years ago, the GDR leadership had the Wall built. Today, our country has been united for longer than it was divided, and we live in freedom and peace. The lesson of the Wall remains: Freedom and democracy are not a given. We must always fight for them." Back then it was a wall to keep people in. Today plenty are building walls to keep people out, and it remains to be seen if that works any better. Writer: Julie

He then makes another comment about his cabinet ministers, but the comments from the Croatian prime minister he was responding to is inaudible, so the context is difficult to make out. Regardless, it shows yet more contempt that Carney has for Canada's representative democracy. He'd like to have all the power in his own hands.

I filmed this video at the Egyptian–Palestinian border while we were displaced in Rafah, just meters away from this towering wall, and behind it stood the Arab Republic of Egypt. We believed that by approaching the Egyptian border, the Zionist occupation would not dare to commit massacres before the eyes of the largest Arab country. But the massacre was happening just meters away from this wall, inside Gaza. Gaza, to this Arab state, was like a vast prison—one that no one could leave unless they could afford to pay $5,000 to survive.
