I’m in Brazil for the first time in 10 years, since the Rio Olympics. And tomorrow morning I won’t be contesting for the podium. The hamstring tear I suffered in Tokyo 7 months ago is still healing and I am a long way from where I was then. But I’m excited for this test, to see where my body is at. And I am grateful that World Athletics included me in their pre-race press conference knowing that and asking me instead about what Brazil gave to me 10 years ago. It’s remarkable to think how much I’ve grown and changed in the last decade, and the role my first Olympics played in that. Today is a struggle. But I know I am where I am supposed to be. As I sat in my truck in front of the Sprint Car Hall Of Fame, reflecting on 10 years ago, asking Bryan for a sign. I look up to see this, spent the next hour reminiscing with the Johnson Family, we laughed we cried but we all knew we were in the exact place at the exact moment we were supposed to be. When we said our good byes I walked in to the hall of fame and this moment was on the video playing. Thank you Jason and Bryan for always reminding us you are here.
