I’m in Brazil for the first time in 10 years, since the Rio Olympics. And tomorrow morning I won’t be contesting for the podium. The hamstring tear I suffered in Tokyo 7 months ago is still healing and I am a long way from where I was then. But I’m excited for this test, to see where my body is at. And I am grateful that World Athletics included me in their pre-race press conference knowing that and asking me instead about what Brazil gave to me 10 years ago. It’s remarkable to think how much I’ve grown and changed in the last decade, and the role my first Olympics played in that. Tomorrow morning (7am Vancouver time on CBC Gem) I’ll hit the streets of Brasilia, and I will give it everything I have. And maybe tomorrow that will be 40th place. But my words from the evening of that fateful 50km 10 years ago will ring soundly in my ear, ‘I left everything I possibly had out there and I can’t ask for anything more than that.’

I’m in my mid 40’s and I’m starting to think that our experiences under Alex Ferguson won’t be repeated in my life time. I pity the younger fan who never experienced our dominance, we boiled piss for 20 years! Just walked through Union Station in DC for the first time in years, and I can’t believe it... It’s clean, safe, and beautiful. Exactly how it should be. A place Americans can be proud of. This is the horrible front of the White House, and it’s been like that for years. The condition is deplorable, just like our Country was when I inherited it from Sleepy Joe Biden. The Radical Left Dumocrats criticize me for spending so much time bringing our White House back to the Glory of 100 years ago — Actually, it will be far better than that, and they will not shame us for bringing our Great and Brilliant Monuments to the past and the future back to levels never seen before. Today is a struggle. But I know I am where I am supposed to be. As I sat in my truck in front of the Sprint Car Hall Of Fame, reflecting on 10 years ago, asking Bryan for a sign. I look up to see this, spent the next hour reminiscing with the Johnson Family, we laughed we cried but we all knew we were in the exact place at the exact moment we were supposed to be. When we said our good byes I walked in to the hall of fame and this moment was on the video playing. Thank you Jason and Bryan for always reminding us you are here.

I've consistently said a revolution is not a popularity contest. I went to the streets because I was sick and tired of the miserable lives my people and I were living. We went to the streets because we had nothing to lose but our miserable lives. I don't need anyone's approval to do what's right for our country. I will fight for the betterment of our people's social and material conditions, as well as for the stability of our country. If this will cost me popularity, so be it. The Internet has never liked me anyway. If it will cost me work, so be it. Our youth are languishing in unemployment. If it will cost me my life, I've said it time without number, so be it. I shall do my honest part, speak truth to power at any opportunity I get, while advocating for a stable Kenya for all of us to thrive. Inawezekana! I bought my first 15 passenger van in 2004 and started touring to make a living fresh out of yeshiva. I didn’t wait for a record deal or an agent, because for me live music has always been the core. From that first tour where I brought a laundry basket of books and a cooler full of kosher meat it’s been a journey. I’ve spent the better part of the last 22 years traveling around this country playing my songs for you and it feels so good to still be doing it. Thank you.
