Comments I made at an event welcoming athletes from different countries who will be competing in the Hargeysa International Half Marathon tomorrow. This competition, now in its second year will hopefully grow to include many more athletes from more countries next year. This event was organized by the #Somaliland Ministry of Youth and Sports and we congratulate them for a job well done. Sports connects people and this sports event will forever connect, the foreign athletes to our country. And as they return home, we hope they pass on to their fellow countrymen, a positive image of our nation.

🇨🇳🇮🇹 China Media Corporation is sending equipment to Italy for broadcasting the Olympics The Games will start on February 6, but the Beijing headquarters of the media holding has already prepared the first batch of equipment for broadcasting in 4K and 8K formats for delivery to Europe. It includes more than a thousand devices. They will be shipped by sea from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port to Italy. "China Media Corporation and our technical systems will play the main role for the first time in the international broadcast of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games. This will break the monopoly of European and American broadcasters and also confirm the confident growth of Chinese technologies and their significance in the world," explains CMG's technical coordinator at the Games, Wang Dagan.

Our flag and anthem will be in France, standing alongside all nations that respect life and the principles of Olympism. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine preserve as much of normal life as possible, despite everything. I also thank those who defended the principles of Olympism from distortion and ensured the terrorist state's flags and participation were not allowed in the Olympics. Putin has turned Russian sports into a sport of killing people. The world will never tolerate this. Russia must be defeated in this war and its terror. Only then will life prevail.
